1 B less Yahweh, my soul. Yahweh, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty.

Благослови, душе моя, Господа! Господи, Боже мій, Ти вельми великий, зодягнувся Ти в велич та в славу!

2 H e covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.

Зодягає Він світло, як шати, небеса простягає, немов би завісу.

3 H e lays the beams of his rooms in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.

Він ставить на водах палати Свої, хмари кладе за Свої колесниці, ходить на крилах вітрових!

4 H e makes his messengers winds; his servants flames of fire.

Він чинить вітри за Своїх посланців, палючий огонь за Своїх слуг.

5 H e laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.

Землю Ти вґрунтував на основах її, щоб на вічні віки вона не захиталась,

6 Y ou covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.

безоднею вкрив Ти її, немов шатою. Стала вода над горами,

7 A t your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.

від погрози Твоєї вона втекла, від гуркоту грому Твого побігла вона,

8 T he mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.

виходить на гори та сходить в долини, на місце, що Ти встановив був для неї.

9 Y ou have set a boundary that they may not pass over; that they don’t turn again to cover the earth.

Ти границю поклав, щоб її вона не перейшла, щоб вона не вернулася землю покрити.

10 H e sends springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains.

Він джерела пускає в потоки, що пливуть між горами,

11 T hey give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.

напувають вони всю пільну звірину, ними дикі осли гасять спрагу свою.

12 T he birds of the sky nest by them. They sing among the branches.

Птаство небесне над ними живе, видає воно голос з-посеред галузок.

13 H e waters the mountains from his rooms. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.

Він напоює гори з палаців Своїх, із плоду чинів Твоїх земля сититься.

14 H e causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth:

Траву для худоби вирощує, та зеленину для праці людині, щоб хліб добувати з землі,

15 w ine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man’s heart.

і вино, що серце людині воно звеселяє, щоб більш від оливи блищало обличчя, і хліб, що серце людині зміцняє.

16 Y ahweh’s trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted;

Насичуються Господні дерева, ті кедри ливанські, що Ти насадив,

17 w here the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the cypress trees.

що там кубляться птахи, бузько, кипариси мешкання його.

18 T he high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.

Гори високі для диких козиць, скелі сховище скельним звіринам.

19 H e appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set.

і місяця Він учинив для означення часу, сонце знає свій захід.

20 Y ou make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl.

Темноту Ти наводиш і ніч настає, в ній порушується вся звірина лісна,

21 T he young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.

ричать левчуки за здобичею та шукають від Бога своєї поживи.

22 T he sun rises, and they steal away, and lay down in their dens.

Сонце ж засвітить вони повтікають, та й кладуться по норах своїх.

23 M an goes out to his work, to his labor until the evening.

Людина виходить на працю свою, й на роботу свою аж до вечора.

24 Y ahweh, how many are your works! In wisdom have you made them all. The earth is full of your riches.

Які то численні діла Твої, Господи, Ти мудро вчинив їх усіх, Твого творива повна земля!

25 T here is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.

Ось море велике й розлогошироке, там повзюче, й числа їм немає, звірина мала та велика!

26 T here the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.

Ходять там кораблі, там той левіятан, якого створив Ти, щоб бавитися йому в морі.

27 T hese all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.

Вони всі чекають Тебе, щоб Ти часу свого поживу їм дав.

28 Y ou give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.

Даєш їм збирають вони, руку Свою розкриваєш добром насичаються.

29 Y ou hide your face: they are troubled; you take away their breath: they die, and return to the dust.

Ховаєш обличчя Своє то вони перелякані, забираєш їм духа вмирають вони, та й вертаються до свого пороху.

30 Y ou send out your Spirit and they are created. You renew the face of the ground.

Посилаєш Ти духа Свого вони творяться, і Ти відновляєш обличчя землі.

31 L et Yahweh’s glory endure forever. Let Yahweh rejoice in his works.

Нехай буде слава Господня навіки, хай ділами Своїми радіє Господь!

32 H e looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke.

Він погляне на землю й вона затремтить, доторкнеться до гір і димують вони!

33 I will sing to Yahweh as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.

Я буду співати Господеві в своєму житті, буду грати для Бога мого, аж поки живу!

34 L et your meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in Yahweh.

Буде приємна Йому моя мова, я Господом буду радіти!

35 L et sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless Yahweh, my soul. Praise Yah!

Нехай згинуть грішні з землі, а безбожні немає вже їх! Благослови, душе моя, Господа! Алілуя!
