1 B less Yahweh, my soul. Yahweh, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty.

Bendice, alma mía, a Jehová. Jehová Dios mío, mucho te has engrandecido; Te has vestido de gloria y de majestad.

2 H e covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.

El que se cubre de luz como de vestidura, Que extiende los cielos como una cortina,

3 H e lays the beams of his rooms in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.

Que construye sus aposentos sobre las aguas, El que pone las nubes por su carroza, El que anda sobre las alas del viento;

4 H e makes his messengers winds; his servants flames of fire.

El que hace a los vientos sus mensajeros, Y a las llamas de fuego sus ministros.

5 H e laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.

Él fundó la tierra sobre sus cimientos; No será jamás removida.

6 Y ou covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.

Con el abismo, como con vestido, la cubriste; Sobre los montes estaban las aguas.

7 A t your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.

A tu reprensión huyeron; Al sonido de tu trueno se apresuraron;

8 T he mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.

Subieron los montes, descendieron los valles, Al lugar que tú les señalaste.

9 Y ou have set a boundary that they may not pass over; that they don’t turn again to cover the earth.

Les pusiste un límite que no traspasarán, Ni volverán a cubrir la tierra.

10 H e sends springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains.

Tú eres el que saca de las fuentes los arroyos; Se deslizan entre los montes;

11 T hey give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.

Dan de beber a todas las bestias del campo; Mitigan la sed de los asnos monteses.

12 T he birds of the sky nest by them. They sing among the branches.

A sus orillas habitan las aves de los cielos; Cantan entre las ramas.

13 H e waters the mountains from his rooms. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.

Él riega los montes desde las alturas; Del fruto de sus obras se sacia la tierra.

14 H e causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth:

Él hace producir el heno para las bestias, Y las plantas para el uso del hombre, Para que saque el pan de la tierra,

15 w ine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man’s heart.

Y el vino que alegra el corazón del hombre, El aceite que hace brillar el rostro, Y el pan que sustenta la vida del hombre.

16 Y ahweh’s trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted;

Se llenan de savia los árboles de Jehová, Los cedros del Líbano que él plantó.

17 w here the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the cypress trees.

Allí anidan las aves; En su copa hace su casa la cigüeña.

18 T he high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.

Los riscos son para las cabras monteses; Las peñas, madrigueras para los conejos.

19 H e appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set.

Hizo la luna para marcar los tiempos; El sol conoce su ocaso.

20 Y ou make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl.

Traes las tinieblas, y se hace de noche; En ella corretean todas las bestias de la selva.

21 T he young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.

Los leoncillos rugen tras la presa, Reclamando a Dios su comida.

22 T he sun rises, and they steal away, and lay down in their dens.

Sale el sol, se recogen, Y se echan en sus guaridas.

23 M an goes out to his work, to his labor until the evening.

Sale el hombre a su labor, Y a su labranza hasta la tarde.

24 Y ahweh, how many are your works! In wisdom have you made them all. The earth is full of your riches.

¡Cuán innumerables son tus obras, oh Jehová! Hiciste todas ellas con sabiduría; La tierra está llena de tus criaturas.

25 T here is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.

He allí el grande y anchuroso mar, En donde se mueven seres innumerables, Seres pequeños y grandes.

26 T here the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.

Lo surcan las naves, Y ese leviatán que hiciste para que retozase en él.

27 T hese all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.

Todos ellos esperan en ti, Para que les des su comida a su tiempo.

28 Y ou give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.

Se la das, y la atrapan; Abres tu mano, y se sacian de bien.

29 Y ou hide your face: they are troubled; you take away their breath: they die, and return to the dust.

Escondes tu rostro, y se espantan; Les retiras el aliento, dejan de existir, Y vuelven al polvo.

30 Y ou send out your Spirit and they are created. You renew the face of the ground.

Envías tu soplo, y son creados, Y renuevas la faz de la tierra.

31 L et Yahweh’s glory endure forever. Let Yahweh rejoice in his works.

Sea la gloria de Jehová para siempre; Alégrese Jehová en sus obras.

32 H e looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke.

Él mira a la tierra, y ella tiembla; Toca los montes, y humean.

33 I will sing to Yahweh as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.

A Jehová cantaré durante toda mi vida; A mi Dios cantaré salmos mientras exista.

34 L et your meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in Yahweh.

Que le sea agradable mi meditación; Yo tengo mi gozo en Jehová.

35 L et sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless Yahweh, my soul. Praise Yah!
