1 H e said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!

Dijo Jesús a sus discípulos: Imposible es que no vengan tropiezos; mas ¡ay de aquel por quien vienen!

2 I t would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

Mejor le sería que se le atase al cuello una piedra de molino y se le arrojase al mar, que hacer tropezar a uno de estos pequeños.

3 B e careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him.

Tened cuidado de vosotros mismos. Si tu hermano peca, repréndele; y si se arrepiente, perdónale.

4 I f he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”

Y si peca contra ti siete veces al día, y vuelve a ti siete veces al día, diciendo: Me arrepiento; perdónale. Auméntanos la fe

5 T he apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

Dijeron los apóstoles al Señor: Auméntanos la fe.

6 T he Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

Entonces el Señor dijo: Si tuvierais fe como un grano de mostaza, podríais decir a este sicómoro: Desarráigate, y plántate en el mar; y os obedecería. El deber del siervo

7 B ut who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say, when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table,’

¿Quién de vosotros, teniendo un siervo que ara o apacienta ganado, al volver él del campo, le dice: Pasa en seguida, y siéntate a la mesa?

8 a nd will not rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me, while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?

¿No le dirá más bien: Prepárame algo para cenar, cíñete, y sírveme hasta que haya comido y bebido; y después de esto, puedes comer y beber tú?

9 D oes he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.

¿Acaso le da las gracias al siervo porque hizo lo que se le había mandado? Pienso que no.

10 E ven so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”

Así también vosotros, cuando hayáis hecho todo lo que os ha sido ordenado, decid: Siervos inútiles somos, pues hemos hecho lo que debíamos hacer. Diez leprosos son limpiados

11 A s he was on his way to Jerusalem, he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.

Yendo Jesús a Jerusalén, pasaba entre Samaria y Galilea.

12 A s he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance.

Y al entrar en una aldea le salieron al encuentro diez hombres leprosos, los cuales se pararon a distancia,

13 T hey lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

y alzaron la voz, diciendo: ¡Jesús, Maestro, ten compasión de nosotros!

14 W hen he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.

Cuando él los vio, les dijo: Id y mostraos a los sacerdotes. Y aconteció que mientras iban, fueron limpiados.

15 O ne of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.

Entonces uno de ellos, viendo que había sido sanado, volvió, glorificando a Dios a gran voz,

16 H e fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.

y se postró rostro en tierra a sus pies, dándole gracias; y éste era samaritano.

17 J esus answered, “Weren’t the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

Tomando la palabra Jesús, dijo: ¿No son diez los que fueron limpiados? Y los otros nueve, ¿dónde están?

18 W ere there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this stranger?”

¿No hubo quien volviese y diese gloria a Dios sino este extranjero?

19 T hen he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your faith has healed you.”

Y le dijo: Levántate y prosigue tu camino; tu fe te ha sanado. La venida del reino

20 B eing asked by the Pharisees when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’s Kingdom doesn’t come with observation;

Preguntado por los fariseos, cuándo había de venir el reino de Dios, les respondió y dijo: El reino de Dios no viene con advertencia,

21 n either will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”

ni dirán: Aquí está, o: Allí está; porque el reino de Dios está en medio de vosotros.

22 H e said to the disciples, “The days will come, when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

Y les dijo a los discípulos: Vendrán días en que ansiaréis ver uno de los días del Hijo del Hombre, y no lo veréis.

23 T hey will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away, nor follow after them,

Y os dirán: Aquí está, o: Allí está. No vayáis, ni los sigáis.

24 f or as the lightning, when it flashes out of the one part under the sky, shines to the other part under the sky; so will the Son of Man be in his day.

Porque como el relámpago que al fulgurar resplandece desde un extremo del cielo hasta el otro, así también será el Hijo del Hombre en su día.

25 B ut first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

Pero primero es necesario que padezca mucho, y sea desechado por esta generación.

26 A s it was in the days of Noah, even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man.

Como fue en los días de Noé, así también será en los días del Hijo del Hombre.

27 T hey ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Comían, bebían, se casaban y se daban en casamiento, hasta el día en que entró Noé en el arca, y vino el diluvio y los destruyó a todos.

28 L ikewise, even as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;

Asimismo como sucedió en los días de Lot; comían, bebían, compraban, vendían, plantaban, edificaban;

29 b ut in the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all.

mas el día en que Lot salió de Sodoma, llovió del cielo fuego y azufre, y los destruyó a todos.

30 I t will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.

Lo mismo será el día en que el Hijo del Hombre se manifieste.

31 I n that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.

En aquel día, el que esté en la azotea, y sus bienes en casa, no descienda a tomarlos; y el que en el campo, asimismo no vuelva atrás.

32 R emember Lot’s wife!

Acordaos de la mujer de Lot.

33 W hoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.

Todo el que procure salvar su vida, la perderá; y todo el que la pierda, la conservará.

34 I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. The one will be taken, and the other will be left.

Os digo que en aquella noche estarán dos en una cama; el uno será tomado, y el otro será dejado.

35 T here will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken, and the other will be left.”

Dos mujeres estarán moliendo juntas; la una será tomada, y la otra dejada.

Dos estarán en el campo; el uno será tomado, y el otro dejado.

37 T hey, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there will the vultures also be gathered together.”

Y respondiendo, le dijeron: ¿Dónde, Señor? Él les dijo: Donde esté el cuerpo, allí se juntarán también las águilas.
