1 “ To the angel of the assembly in Ephesus write: “He who holds the seven stars in his right hand, he who walks among the seven golden lamp stands says these things:

Escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Éfeso: El que tiene las siete estrellas en su diestra, el que anda en medio de los siete candeleros de oro, dice esto:

2 “ I know your works, and your toil and perseverance, and that you can’t tolerate evil men, and have tested those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and found them false.

Yo sé tus obras, y tu arduo trabajo y paciencia; y que no puedes soportar a los malos, y has probado a los que se dicen ser apóstoles, y no lo son, y los has hallado mentirosos;

3 Y ou have perseverance and have endured for my name’s sake, and have not grown weary.

y has sufrido, y has tenido paciencia, y has trabajado arduamente por amor de mi nombre, y no has desmayado.

4 B ut I have this against you, that you left your first love.

Pero tengo contra ti, que has dejado tu primer amor.

5 R emember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works; or else I am coming to you swiftly, and will move your lamp stand out of its place, unless you repent.

Recuerda, por tanto, de dónde has caído, y arrepiéntete, y haz las primeras obras; pues si no, vengo en seguida a ti, y quitaré tu candelero de su lugar, si no te arrepientes.

6 B ut this you have, that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

Pero tienes esto, que aborreces las obras de los nicolaítas, las cuales yo también aborrezco.

7 H e who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of my God.

El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias. Al que venza, le daré a comer del árbol de la vida, el cual está en medio del paraíso de Dios. El mensaje a Esmirna

8 “ To the angel of the assembly in Smyrna write: “The first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life says these things:

Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Esmirna: El primero y el postrero, el que estuvo muerto y volvió a la vida, dice esto:

9 “ I know your works, oppression, and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

Yo sé tus obras, y tu tribulación, y tu pobreza (pero eres rico), y la blasfemia de los que se dicen ser judíos, y no lo son, sino sinagoga de Satanás.

10 D on’t be afraid of the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested; and you will have oppression for ten days. Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life.

No temas en nada lo que vas a padecer. Mira, el diablo va a echar a algunos de vosotros en la cárcel, para que seáis probados, y tendréis tribulación durante diez días. Sé fiel hasta la muerte, y yo te daré la corona de la vida.

11 H e who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes won’t be harmed by the second death.

El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias. El que venza, no sufrirá ningún daño por parte de la muerte segunda. El mensaje a Pérgamo

12 “ To the angel of the assembly in Pergamum write: “He who has the sharp two-edged sword says these things:

Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Pérgamo: El que tiene la espada aguda de dos filos dice esto:

13 “ I know your works and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. You hold firmly to my name, and didn’t deny my faith in the days of Antipas my witness, my faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

Yo sé tus obras, y dónde habitas, donde está el trono de Satanás; pero retienes mi nombre, y no has negado mi fe, ni aun en los días en que Antipas mi testigo fiel fue muerto entre vosotros, donde mora Satanás.

14 B ut I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to throw a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.

Pero tengo unas pocas cosas contra ti: que tienes ahí a los que retienen la doctrina de Balaam, que enseñaba a Balac a poner tropiezo ante los hijos de Israel, a comer de cosas sacrificadas a los ídolos, y a cometer fornicación.

15 S o you also have some who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans likewise.

Y asimismo tienes a los que retienen la doctrina de los nicolaítas, la que yo aborrezco.

16 R epent therefore, or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of my mouth.

Por tanto, arrepiéntete; pues si no, vengo a ti en seguida, y pelearé contra ellos con la espada de mi boca.

17 H e who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knows but he who receives it.

El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias. Al que venza, le daré a comer del maná escondido, y le daré una piedrecita blanca, e inscrito en la piedrecita un nombre nuevo, el cual ninguno conoce sino el que lo recibe. El mensaje a Tiatira

18 “ To the angel of the assembly in Thyatira write: “The Son of God, who has his eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet are like burnished brass, says these things:

Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en Tiatira: El Hijo de Dios, el que tiene los ojos como llama de fuego, y sus pies son semejantes al bronce bruñido, dice esto:

19 “ I know your works, your love, faith, service, patient endurance, and that your last works are more than the first.

Yo sé tus obras, y tu amor, fe, servicio y paciencia, y que tus obras recientes son más numerosas que las primeras.

20 B ut I have this against you, that you tolerate your woman, Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. She teaches and seduces my servants to commit sexual immorality, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.

Pero tengo unas pocas cosas contra ti: que toleras que esa mujer Jezabel, que se dice profetisa, enseñe y seduzca a mis siervos a fornicar y a comer cosas sacrificadas a los ídolos.

21 I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.

Y le di tiempo para que se arrepintiese, pero no quiere arrepentirse de su fornicación.

22 B ehold, I will throw her into a bed, and those who commit adultery with her into great oppression, unless they repent of her works.

He aquí, la arrojo en cama, y en gran tribulación a los que con ella adulteran, si no se arrepienten de las obras de ella.

23 I will kill her children with Death, and all the assemblies will know that I am he who searches the minds and hearts. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.

Y mataré con peste a sus hijos, y todas las iglesias sabrán que yo soy el que escudriña la conciencia y el corazón; y os daré a cada uno según vuestras obras.

24 B ut to you I say, to the rest who are in Thyatira, as many as don’t have this teaching, who don’t know what some call ‘the deep things of Satan,’ to you I say, I am not putting any other burden on you.

Pero os digo a vosotros y a los demás que están en Tiatira, a cuantos no tienen esa doctrina, y no han conocido las profundidades de Satanás (como ellos dicen): No os impongo otra carga;

25 N evertheless, hold that which you have firmly until I come.

no obstante, lo que tenéis, retenedlo hasta que yo venga.

26 H e who overcomes, and he who keeps my works to the end, to him I will give authority over the nations.

Y al que vence y al que guarda mis obras hasta el fin, le daré autoridad sobre las naciones,

27 H e will rule them with a rod of iron, shattering them like clay pots; as I also have received of my Father:

y las quebrantará con vara de hierro, como son desmenuzados los vasos del alfarero, así como yo también he recibido autoridad de manos de mi Padre;

28 a nd I will give him the morning star.

y le daré la estrella de la mañana.

29 H e who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.

El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.
