1 Y ahweh, remember David and all his affliction,

Tenle en cuenta, oh Jehová, a David, Todos sus desvelos;

2 h ow he swore to Yahweh, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

3 “ Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;

4 I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids;

5 u ntil I find out a place for Yahweh, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Hasta que halle lugar para Jehová, Una morada para el Fuerte de Jacob.

6 B ehold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar:

7 “ We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.

9 L et your priest be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!”

Tus sacerdotes se vistan de justicia, Y se regocijen tus santos.

10 F or your servant David’s sake, don’t turn away the face of your anointed one.

Por amor de David tu siervo No rechaces el rostro de tu ungido.

11 Y ahweh has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: “I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.

Juró Jehová a David Una verdad de la que no se retractará: De tu descendencia pondré sobre tu trono.

12 I f your children will keep my covenant, my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forever more.”

Si tus hijos guardan mi pacto, Y mi testimonio que yo les enseñaré, Sus hijos también se sentarán sobre tu trono para siempre.

13 F or Yahweh has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation.

Porque Jehová ha elegido a Sión; La quiso por habitación para sí.

14 “ This is my resting place forever. Here I will live, for I have desired it.

Éste es para siempre el lugar de mi reposo; Aquí habitaré, porque la he preferido.

15 I will abundantly bless her provision. I will satisfy her poor with bread.

Bendeciré abundantemente su provisión; A sus pobres saciaré de pan.

16 H er priests I will also clothe with salvation. Her saints will shout aloud for joy.

Asimismo vestiré de salvación a sus sacerdotes, Y sus santos darán voces de júbilo.

17 T here I will make the horn of David to bud. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.

Allí haré retoñar el poder de David; He dispuesto lámpara a mi ungido.

18 I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will be resplendent.”

A sus enemigos vestiré de confusión, Mas sobre él florecerá su corona.
