1 Y ahweh, remember David and all his affliction,

Acuérdate, Señor, de David, de toda su aflicción;

2 h ow he swore to Yahweh, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

de cómo juró al Señor, y prometió al Poderoso de Jacob:

3 “ Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;

Ciertamente no entraré en mi casa, ni en mi lecho me acostaré;

4 I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids;

no daré sueño a mis ojos, ni a mis párpados adormecimiento,

5 u ntil I find out a place for Yahweh, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

hasta que halle un lugar para el Señor, una morada para el Poderoso de Jacob.

6 B ehold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar:

He aquí, oímos de ella en Efrata; la hallamos en los campos de Jaar.

7 “ We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.

Entremos a sus moradas; postrémonos ante el estrado de sus pies.

8 A rise, Yahweh, into your resting place; you, and the ark of your strength.

Levántate, Señor, al lugar de tu reposo; tú y el arca de tu poder.

9 L et your priest be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!”

Vístanse de justicia tus sacerdotes; y canten con gozo tus santos.

10 F or your servant David’s sake, don’t turn away the face of your anointed one.

Por amor a David tu siervo, no hagas volver el rostro de tu ungido.

11 Y ahweh has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: “I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.

El Señor ha jurado a David una verdad de la cual no se retractará: De tu descendencia pondré sobre tu trono.

12 I f your children will keep my covenant, my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forever more.”

Si tus hijos guardan mi pacto, y mi testimonio que les enseñaré, sus hijos también ocuparán tu trono para siempre.

13 F or Yahweh has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation.

Porque el Señor ha escogido a Sion; la quiso para su habitación.

14 “ This is my resting place forever. Here I will live, for I have desired it.

Este es mi lugar de reposo para siempre; aquí habitaré, porque la he deseado.

15 I will abundantly bless her provision. I will satisfy her poor with bread.

Su provisión bendeciré en abundancia; de pan saciaré a sus pobres.

16 H er priests I will also clothe with salvation. Her saints will shout aloud for joy.

A sus sacerdotes también vestiré de salvación, y sus santos darán voces de júbilo.

17 T here I will make the horn of David to bud. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.

Allí haré surgir el poder de David; he preparado una lámpara para mi ungido.

18 I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will be resplendent.”

A sus enemigos cubriré de vergüenza, mas sobre él resplandecerá su corona.
