1 D eliver me, Yahweh, from the evil man. Preserve me from the violent man;

Líbrame, oh Señor, de los hombres malignos; guárdame de los hombres violentos,

2 t hose who devise mischief in their hearts. They continually gather themselves together for war.

que traman maldades en su corazón; que cada día provocan guerras.

3 T hey have sharpened their tongues like a serpent. Viper’s poison is under their lips. Selah.

4 Y ahweh, keep me from the hands of the wicked. Preserve me from the violent men who have determined to trip my feet.

Guárdame, Señor, de las manos del impío; protégeme de los hombres violentos, que se han propuesto hacerme tropezar.

5 T he proud have hidden a snare for me, they have spread the cords of a net by the path. They have set traps for me. Selah.

6 I said to Yahweh, “You are my God.” Listen to the cry of my petitions, Yahweh.

9 A s for the head of those who surround me, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

En cuanto a los que me rodean, que la malicia de sus labios los cubra.

10 L et burning coals fall on them. Let them be thrown into the fire, into miry pits, from where they never rise.

11 A n evil speaker won’t be established in the earth. Evil will hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

Que el hombre de mala lengua no permanezca en la tierra; que al hombre violento lo persiga el mal implacablemente.

12 I know that Yahweh will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the needy.

Yo sé que el Señor sostendrá la causa del afligido, y el derecho de los pobres.

13 S urely the righteous will give thanks to your name. The upright will dwell in your presence.

Ciertamente los justos darán gracias a tu nombre, y los rectos morarán en tu presencia.
