1 A gain I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.

Alcé de nuevo mis ojos y miré, y he aquí cuatro carros que salían de entre dos montes; y los montes eran montes de bronce.

2 I n the first chariot were red horses; in the second chariot black horses;

Del primer carro tiraban caballos rojos, del segundo carro caballos negros,

3 i n the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot dappled horses, all of them powerful.

del tercer carro caballos blancos y del cuarto carro fuertes caballos tordos.

4 T hen I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”

Entonces hablé, y dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo: ¿Qué son éstos, señor mío ?

5 T he angel answered me, “These are the four winds of the sky, which go out from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

Y el ángel contestó, y me dijo: Estos son los cuatro vientos del cielo que salen después de presentarse ante el Señor de toda la tierra.

6 T he one with the black horses goes out toward the north country; and the white went out after them; and the dappled went out toward the south country.”

Con uno de ellos salen los caballos negros hacia la tierra del norte, y los blancos salen tras ellos, mientras los tordos salen hacia la tierra del sur.

7 T he strong went out, and sought to go that they might walk back and forth through the earth: and he said, “Go around and through the earth!” So they walked back and forth through the earth.

Briosos salían, impacientes por ir a recorrer la tierra. Y El dijo: Id, recorred la tierra. Y recorrieron la tierra.

8 T hen he called to me, and spoke to me, saying, “Behold, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.”

Entonces me llamó y me habló, diciendo: Mira, los que salen hacia la tierra del norte aplacan mi espíritu en la tierra del norte. La corona simbólica

9 Y ahweh’s word came to me, saying,

Y vino la palabra del Señor a mí, diciendo:

10 “ Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah; and come the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, where they have come from Babylon.

Toma ofrendas de los desterrados, de Heldai, de Tobías y de Jedaías; y el mismo día ve y entra en la casa de Josías, hijo de Sofonías, adonde ellos han llegado de Babilonia.

11 Y es, take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;

Toma plata y oro, haz una corona y pon la en la cabeza del sumo sacerdote Josué, hijo de Josadac.

12 a nd speak to him, saying, ‘Yahweh of Armies says, “Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: and he shall grow up out of his place; and he shall build Yahweh’s temple;

Y háblale, diciendo: “Así dice el Señor de los ejércitos: ‘He aquí un hombre cuyo nombre es Renuevo, porque El brotará del lugar donde está y reedificará el templo del Señor.

13 e ven he shall build Yahweh’s temple; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on his throne; and he shall be a priest on his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

‘Sí, El reedificará el templo del Señor, y El llevará gloria y se sentará y gobernará en su trono. Será sacerdote sobre su trono y habrá consejo de paz entre los dos oficios.’”

14 T he crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in Yahweh’s temple.

La corona será para Helem, Tobías, Jedaías y Hen, hijo de Sofonías, como recuerdo en el templo del Señor.

15 T hose who are far off shall come and build in Yahweh’s temple; and you shall know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen, if you will diligently obey Yahweh your God’s voice.”’”

Y los que están lejos vendrán y reedificarán el templo del Señor. Entonces sabréis que el Señor de los ejércitos me ha enviado a vosotros. Esto sucederá si escucháis obedientes la voz del Señor vuestro Dios.
