1 D eliver me from my enemies, my God. Set me on high from those who rise up against me.

Porque, he aquí, han puesto emboscada contra mi vida; hombres feroces me atacan, pero no es por mi transgresión, ni por mi pecado, Señor.

4 I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Rise up, behold, and help me!

5 Y ou, Yahweh God of Armies, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish the nations. Show no mercy to the wicked traitors. Selah.

6 T hey return at evening, howling like dogs, and prowl around the city.

7 B ehold, they spew with their mouth. Swords are in their lips, “For”, they say, “who hears us?”

He aquí, se jactan con su boca; espadas hay en sus labios, pues dicen: ¿Quién oye ?

8 B ut you, Yahweh, laugh at them. You scoff at all the nations.

Mas tú, oh Señor, te ríes de ellos; te burlas de todas las naciones.

9 O h, my Strength, I watch for you, for God is my high tower.

A causa de su fuerza esperaré en ti, porque Dios es mi baluarte.

10 M y God will go before me with his loving kindness. God will let me look at my enemies in triumph.

Mi Dios en su misericordia vendrá a mi encuentro; Dios me permitirá mirar victorioso sobre mis enemigos.

11 D on’t kill them, or my people may forget. Scatter them by your power, and bring them down, Lord our shield.

No los mates, para que mi pueblo no se olvide; dispérsalos con tu poder, y humíllalos, oh Señor, escudo nuestro.

12 F or the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride, for the curses and lies which they utter.

Por el pecado de su boca y la palabra de sus labios, sean presos en su orgullo, y por las maldiciones y mentiras que profieren.

13 C onsume them in wrath. Consume them, and they will be no more. Let them know that God rules in Jacob, to the ends of the earth. Selah.

Acába los en tu furor, acába los, para que ya no existan; para que los hombres sepan que Dios gobierna en Jacob, hasta los confines de la tierra. (Selah)

14 A t evening let them return. Let them howl like a dog, and go around the city.

Regresan al anochecer, aúllan como perros, y rondan por la ciudad;

15 T hey shall wander up and down for food, and wait all night if they aren’t satisfied.

merodean buscando qué devorar, y si no se sacian, gruñen.

16 B ut I will sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. For you have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress.

Pero yo cantaré de tu poder; sí, gozoso cantaré por la mañana tu misericordia; porque tú has sido mi baluarte, y un refugio en el día de mi angustia.

17 T o you, my strength, I will sing praises. For God is my high tower, the God of my mercy.

Oh fortaleza mía, a ti cantaré alabanzas; porque mi baluarte es Dios, el Dios que me muestra misericordia.
