1 T he lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill country to Bethel.

Tocó en suerte a los hijos de José desde el Jordán de Jericó hasta las aguas de Jericó hacia el oriente, hacia el desierto que sube de Jericó por las montañas de Betel.

2 I t went out from Bethel to Luz, and passed along to the border of the Archites to Ataroth;

Y de Betel sale a Luz, y pasa a lo largo del territorio de los arquitas hasta Atarot,

3 a nd it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, to the border of Beth Horon the lower, and on to Gezer; and ended at the sea.

y baja hacia el occidente al territorio de los jafletitas, hasta el límite de Bet-horón la de abajo, y hasta Gézer; y sale al mar.

4 T he children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

Recibieron, pues, su heredad los hijos de José, Manasés y Efraín.

5 T his was the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families. The border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth Addar, to Beth Horon the upper.

Y en cuanto al territorio de los hijos de Efraín por sus familias, el límite de su heredad al lado del oriente fue desde Atarot-adar hasta Bet-horón la de arriba.

6 T he border went out westward at Michmethath on the north. The border turned about eastward to Taanath Shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah.

Continúa el límite hasta el mar, y hasta Micmetat al norte, y da vuelta hacia el oriente hasta Taanatsilo, y de aquí pasa a Janoá.

7 I t went down from Janoah to Ataroth, to Naarah, reached to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.

De Janoá desciende a Atarot y a Naarat, y toca Jericó y sube al Jordán.

8 F rom Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and ended at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;

Y de Tapuá se vuelve hacia el mar, al arroyo de Caná, y sale al mar. Ésta es la heredad de la tribu de los hijos de Efraín por sus familias.

9 t ogether with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the middle of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

Hubo también ciudades que se apartaron para los hijos de Efraín en medio de la heredad de los hijos de Manasés, todas ciudades con sus aldeas.

10 T hey didn’t drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell in the territory of Ephraim to this day, and have become servants to do forced labor.

Pero no fue expulsado el cananeo que habitaba en Gézer; antes quedó el cananeo en medio de Efraín, hasta hoy, y fue tributario.
