Lord, You have been favorable and have dealt graciously with Your land; You have brought back the captives of Jacob.

2 T u hai perdonato l'iniquità del tuo popolo e hai coperto tutti i loro peccati. (Sela)

You have forgiven and taken away the iniquity of Your people, You have covered all their sin. Selah!

3 T u hai allontanato tutto il tuo sdegno e hai messo da parte la tua ardente ira.

You have withdrawn all Your wrath and indignation, You have turned away from the blazing anger.

4 R istoraci, o DIO della nostra salvezza, e fa' cessare la tua indignazione contro di noi.

Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Your anger toward us to cease.

5 R imarrai tu adirato con noi per sempre? Prolungherai la tua ira per ogni età?

Will You be angry with us forever? Will You prolong Your anger and spread it out to all generations?

6 N on ci darai nuovamente la vita, affinché il tuo popolo possa rallegrarsi in te?

Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?

7 M ostraci, o Eterno, la tua benignità e donaci la tua salvezza.

Show us Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, and grant us Your salvation.

8 a scolterò ciò che DIO, l'Eterno dirà; certo egli parlerà di pace al suo popolo e ai suoi santi, ma non permetterà che essi ritornino a vivere da stolti.

I will listen to what God the Lord will say, for He will speak peace to His people, to His saints (those who are in right standing with Him)—but let them not turn again to folly.

9 C erto la sua salvezza è vicina a quelli che lo temono, perché la sua gloria possa abitare nel nostro paese.

Surely His salvation is near to those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, that glory may tabernacle and abide in our land.

10 L a benignità e la verità si sono incontrate; la giustizia e la pace si sono baciate.

Mercy and loving-kindness and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11 L a verità germoglierà dalla terra e la giustizia guarderà dal cielo.

Truth shall spring up from the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

12 S í, l'Eterno darà ciò che è bene, e la nostra terra produrrà il suo frutto.

Yes, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase.

13 L a giustizia camminerà davanti a lui e preparerà la via ai suoi passi.

Righteousness shall go before Him and shall make His footsteps a way in which to walk.
