O God, my heart is fixed (steadfast, in the confidence of faith); I will sing, yes, I will sing praises, even with my glory!

2 D estatevi, arpa e cetra, io voglio risvegliare l'alba.

Awake, harp and lyre; I myself will wake very early—I will waken the dawn!

3 I o ti celebrerò fra i popoli, o Eterno, e canterò le tue lodi fra le nazioni.

I will praise and give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; and I will sing praises unto You among the nations.

4 P oiché la tua benignità è grande, giunge al di sopra dei cieli, e la tua verità fino alle nuvole.

For Your mercy and loving-kindness are great and high as the heavens! Your truth and faithfulness reach to the skies!

5 S ii esaltato, o DIO, al di sopra dei cieli, e risplenda la tua gloria su tutta la terra,

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let Your glory be over all the earth.

6 a ffinché i tuoi diletti siano liberati; salvami con la tua destra e rispondimi.

That Your beloved may be delivered, save with Your right hand and answer us!!

7 D IO ha parlato nella sua SANTITA': «trionferò, spartirò Sichem e misurerò la valle di Sukkoth.

God has promised in His holiness: I will rejoice, I will distribute, dividing Shechem and the Valley of Succoth.

8 M io è Galaad, mio è Manasse, Efraim è la forza del mio capo, Giuda è il mio legislatore;

Gilead is Mine, Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is My stronghold and the defense of My head; Judah is My scepter and lawgiver.

9 M oab è il catino dove mi lavo; su Edom getterò i mio sandalo; sulla Filistia manderò grida di trionfo».

Moab is My washbasin; upon Edom My shoe I cast; over Philistia I shout.

10 C hi mi porterà nella città forte? Chi mi condurrà fino a Edom?

Who will bring me into the strong, fortified city ? Who will lead me into Edom?

11 N on sei tu, o DIO, che ci hai respinti, e non esci piú, o DIO, coi nostri eserciti?

Have You not cast us off, O God? And will You not go forth, O God, with our armies?

12 D acci tu aiuto contro l'avversario, perché vano è il soccorso dell'uomo.

Give us help against the adversary, for vain is the help of man.

13 C on DIO noi faremo prodezze, e sarà lui a schiacciare i nostri nemici.

Through and with God we shall do valiantly, for He it is Who shall tread down our adversaries.
