1 ¶ Masters, do that which is just and right with your slaves, knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.

Господа, оказывайте рабам должное и справедливое, зная, что и вы имеете Господа на небесах.

2 ¶ Persevere in prayer and watch in the same with thanksgiving,

Будьте постоянны в молитве, бодрствуя в ней с благодарением.

3 p raying also together for us that God would open unto us the door of the word, to speak the mystery of the Christ, for which I am also in bonds,

Молитесь также и о нас, чтобы Бог отверз нам дверь для слова, возвещать тайну Христову, за которую я и в узах,

4 t hat I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

дабы я открыл ее, как должно мне возвещать.

5 ¶ Walk in wisdom towards outsiders, winning the occasion.

Со внешними обходитесь благоразумно, пользуясь временем.

6 L et your word be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.

Слово ваше всегда с благодатию, приправлено солью, дабы вы знали, как отвечать каждому.

7 ¶ All my affairs shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother and a faithful servant and fellow slave in the Lord,

О мне всё скажет вам Тихик, возлюбленный брат и верный служитель и сотрудник в Господе,

8 w hom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your affairs and comfort your hearts,

которого я для того послал к вам, чтобы он узнал о ваших и утешил сердца ваши,

9 w ith Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all the things which are happening here.

с Онисимом, верным и возлюбленным братом нашим, который от вас. Они расскажут вам о всем здешнем.

10 A ristarchus, my fellowprisoner, salutes you, and Mark, nephew to Barnabas, (concerning whom ye have received commandments, if he comes unto you, receive him),

Приветствует вас Аристарх, заключенный вместе со мною, и Марк, племянник Варнавы--о котором вы получили приказания: если придет к вам, примите его, --

11 a nd Jesus, who is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, who have been a comfort unto me.

также Иисус, прозываемый Иустом, оба из обрезанных. Они--единственные сотрудники для Царствия Божия, бывшие мне отрадою.

12 E paphras, who is one of you, a slave of Christ, salutes you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand firm, perfect and fulfilled in all the will of God.

Приветствует вас Епафрас ваш, раб Иисуса Христа, всегда подвизающийся за вас в молитвах, чтобы вы пребыли совершенны и исполнены всем, что угодно Богу.

13 F or I bear witness of him, that he has a great zeal for you and those that are in Laodicea and those in Hierapolis.

Свидетельствую о нем, что он имеет великую ревность и заботу о вас и о находящихся в Лаодикии и Иераполе.

14 L uke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.

Приветствует вас Лука, врач возлюбленный, и Димас.

15 S alute the brethren who are in Laodicea and Nymphas and the congregation which is in his house.

Приветствуйте братьев в Лаодикии, и Нимфана, и домашнюю церковь его.

16 A nd when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the congregation of the Laodiceans, and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.

Когда это послание прочитано будет у вас, то распорядитесь, чтобы оно было прочитано и в Лаодикийской церкви; а то, которое из Лаодикии, прочитайте и вы.

17 A nd say to Archippus, Take heed to fulfil the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord.

Скажите Архиппу: смотри, чтобы тебе исполнить служение, которое ты принял в Господе.
