1 ¶ Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

И было ко мне слово Господне:

2 S on of man, set thy face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against him,

сын человеческий! обрати лице твое к горе Сеир и изреки на нее пророчество

3 a nd say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, O Mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will make thee waste and solitary.

и скажи ей: так говорит Господь Бог: вот, Я--на тебя, гора Сеир! и простру на тебя руку Мою и сделаю тебя пустою и необитаемою.

4 I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

Города твои превращу в развалины, и ты сама опустеешь и узнаешь, что Я Господь.

5 B ecause thou hast had perpetual enmities and hast scattered the sons of Israel to the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the extremely evil time:

Так как у тебя вечная вражда, и ты предавала сынов Израилевых в руки мечу во время несчастья их, во время окончательной гибели:

6 t herefore, as I live, said the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: and if thou dost not hate blood, blood shall pursue thee.

за это--живу Я! говорит Господь Бог--сделаю тебя кровью, и кровь будет преследовать тебя; так как ты не ненавидела крови, то кровь и будет преследовать тебя.

7 A nd I will make Mount Seir waste and solitary and cut off from him, he that passes out and him that returns.

И сделаю гору Сеир пустою и безлюдною степью и истреблю на ней приходящего и возвращающегося.

8 A nd I will fill his mountains with his dead; and in thy hills and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, they shall fall that are slain with the sword.

И наполню высоты ее убитыми ее; на холмах твоих и в долинах твоих, и во всех рытвинах твоих будут падать сраженные мечом.

9 I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall never be restored; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Сделаю тебя пустынею вечною, и в городах твоих не будут жить, и узнаете, что Я Господь.

10 ¶ Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess them, whereas the LORD was there.

Так как ты говорила: 'эти два народа и эти две земли будут мои, и мы завладеем ими, хотя и Господь был там':

11 T herefore, as I live, said the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy enmity against them; and I shall be known in them when I judge thee.

за то, --живу Я! говорит Господь Бог, --поступлю с тобою по мере ненависти твоей и зависти твоей, какую ты выказала из ненависти твоей к ним, и явлю Себя им, когда буду судить тебя.

12 A nd thou shalt know that I, the LORD, have heard all thy injuries which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate; they are given us to devour.

И узнаешь, что Я, Господь, слышал все глумления твои, какие ты произносила на горы Израилевы, говоря: 'опустели! нам отданы на съедение!'

13 T hus with your mouth ye have boasted against me and have multiplied your words against me; I have heard them.

Вы величались предо Мною языком вашим и умножали речи ваши против Меня; Я слышал это.

14 T hus hath the Lord GOD said: Thus shall the whole earth rejoice when I shall make thee desolate.

Так говорит Господь Бог: когда вся земля будет радоваться, Я сделаю тебя пустынею.

15 A s thou didst rejoice upon the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee; thou shalt be desolate, O Mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Как ты радовалась тому, что удел дома Израилева опустел, так сделаю Я и с тобою: опустошена будешь, гора Сеир, и вся Идумея вместе, и узнают, что Я Господь.
