1 ¶ These things I have spoken unto you that ye should not be offended.

Сие сказал Я вам, чтобы вы не соблазнились.

2 T hey shall put you out of the synagogues, and the hour will even come when whosoever kills you will think that he does God service.

Изгонят вас из синагог; даже наступает время, когда всякий, убивающий вас, будет думать, что он тем служит Богу.

3 A nd they will do these things unto you because they do not know the Father, nor me.

Так будут поступать, потому что не познали ни Отца, ни Меня.

4 B ut I have told you these things that when that hour shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And I did not say these things unto you at the beginning because I was with you.

Но Я сказал вам сие для того, чтобы вы, когда придет то время вспомнили, что Я сказывал вам о том; не говорил же сего вам сначала, потому что был с вами.

5 B ut now I go unto him that sent me, and none of you asks me, Where goest thou?

А теперь иду к Пославшему Меня, и никто из вас не спрашивает Меня: куда идешь?

6 B ut because I have said these things unto you, sorrow has filled your heart.

Но оттого, что Я сказал вам это, печалью исполнилось сердце ваше.

7 ¶ Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Но Я истину говорю вам: лучше для вас, чтобы Я пошел; ибо, если Я не пойду, Утешитель не приидет к вам; а если пойду, то пошлю Его к вам,

8 A nd when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment:

и Он, придя, обличит мир о грехе и о правде и о суде:

9 o f sin, because they do not believe in me;

о грехе, что не веруют в Меня;

10 o f righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

о правде, что Я иду к Отцу Моему, и уже не увидите Меня;

11 o f judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

о суде же, что князь мира сего осужден.

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

Еще многое имею сказать вам; но вы теперь не можете вместить.

13 H owbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth, for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak, and he will cause you to know the things which are to come.

Когда же приидет Он, Дух истины, то наставит вас на всякую истину: ибо не от Себя говорить будет, но будет говорить, что услышит, и будущее возвестит вам.

14 H e shall clarify me, for he shall take of that which is mine and shall cause you to know it.

Он прославит Меня, потому что от Моего возьмет и возвестит вам.

15 A ll that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he shall take of that which is mine and shall cause you to know it.

Все, что имеет Отец, есть Мое; потому Я сказал, что от Моего возьмет и возвестит вам.

16 ¶ A little while, and ye shall not see me; and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

Вскоре вы не увидите Меня, и опять вскоре увидите Меня, ибо Я иду к Отцу.

17 T hen some of his disciples said among themselves, What is this that he says unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me; and again, a little while, and ye shall see me; and, Because I go to the Father?

Тут из учеников Его сказали один другому: что это Он говорит нам: вскоре не увидите Меня, и опять вскоре увидите Меня, и: Я иду к Отцу?

18 T hey said therefore, What is this that he says, A little while? we cannot understand what he says.

Итак они говорили: что это говорит Он: 'вскоре'? Не знаем, что говорит.

19 N ow Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of what I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me; and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?

Иисус, уразумев, что хотят спросить Его, сказал им: о том ли спрашиваете вы один другого, что Я сказал: вскоре не увидите Меня, и опять вскоре увидите Меня?

20 V erily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, and the world shall rejoice; but even though ye shall be sorrowful, your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

Истинно, истинно говорю вам: вы восплачете и возрыдаете, а мир возрадуется; вы печальны будете, но печаль ваша в радость будет.

21 T he woman, when she is in travail, has pain, because her hour is come; but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembers the anguish no more, for joy that a man is born into the world.

Женщина, когда рождает, терпит скорбь, потому что пришел час ее; но когда родит младенца, уже не помнит скорби от радости, потому что родился человек в мир.

22 A nd ye now therefore have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and no one shall take your joy from you.

Так и вы теперь имеете печаль; но Я увижу вас опять, и возрадуется сердце ваше, и радости вашей никто не отнимет у вас;

23 ¶ And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give you.

и в тот день вы не спросите Меня ни о чем. Истинно, истинно говорю вам: о чем ни попросите Отца во имя Мое, даст вам.

24 U ntil now ye have asked nothing in my name; ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be fulfilled.

Доныне вы ничего не просили во имя Мое; просите, и получите, чтобы радость ваша была совершенна.

25 I have spoken these things unto you in proverbs, but the hour comes when I shall no longer speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.

Доселе Я говорил вам притчами; но наступает время, когда уже не буду говорить вам притчами, но прямо возвещу вам об Отце.

26 I n that day ye shall ask in my name, and I do not say unto you that I will ask the Father for you;

В тот день будете просить во имя Мое, и не говорю вам, что Я буду просить Отца о вас:

27 f or the Father himself loves you because ye have loved me and have believed that I came out from God.

ибо Сам Отец любит вас, потому что вы возлюбили Меня и уверовали, что Я исшел от Бога.

28 ¶ I came forth from the Father and am come into the world; again, I leave the world and go to the Father.

Я исшел от Отца и пришел в мир; и опять оставляю мир и иду к Отцу.

29 H is disciples said unto him, Behold, now thou speakest plainly and speakest no proverb.

Ученики Его сказали Ему: вот, теперь Ты прямо говоришь, и притчи не говоришь никакой.

30 N ow we understand that thou knowest all things and needest not that anyone should ask thee; by this we believe that thou didst come forth from God.

Теперь видим, что Ты знаешь все и не имеешь нужды, чтобы кто спрашивал Тебя. Посему веруем, что Ты от Бога исшел.

31 J esus answered them, Do ye now believe?

Иисус отвечал им: теперь веруете?

32 B ehold, the hour comes and is now come, that ye shall be scattered, each one to his own, and shall leave me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

Вот, наступает час, и настал уже, что вы рассеетесь каждый в свою и Меня оставите одного; но Я не один, потому что Отец со Мною.

33 T hese things I have spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Сие сказал Я вам, чтобы вы имели во Мне мир. В мире будете иметь скорбь; но мужайтесь: Я победил мир.
