1 ¶ Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks, for that thy name is near, thy wondrous works declare.

(74-1) ^^Начальнику хора. Не погуби. Псалом Асафа. Песнь.^^ (74-2) Славим Тебя, Боже, славим, ибо близко имя Твое; возвещают чудеса Твои.

2 W hen I shall receive the congregation, I will judge uprightly.

(74-3) 'Когда изберу время, Я произведу суд по правде.

3 T he earth and all its inhabitants are dissolved; I bore up the pillars of it. Selah.

(74-4) Колеблется земля и все живущие на ней: Я утвержу столпы ее'.

4 I said unto the fools, Do not deal foolishly and to the wicked, Do not lift up the horn:

(74-5) Говорю безумствующим: 'не безумствуйте', и нечестивым: 'не поднимайте рога,

5 D o not lift up your horn on high; speak not with a stiff neck.

(74-6) не поднимайте высоко рога вашего, говорите жестоковыйно',

6 ¶ For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert.

(74-7) ибо не от востока и не от запада и не от пустыни возвышение,

7 B ut God is the judge; he puts down one and sets up another.

(74-8) но Бог есть судия: одного унижает, а другого возносит;

8 F or the cup is in the hand of the LORD, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he pours out of the same; yea, the dregs thereof, shall wring out and swallow up all the wicked of the earth.

(74-9) ибо чаша в руке Господа, вино кипит в ней, полное смешения, и Он наливает из нее. Даже дрожжи ее будут выжимать и пить все нечестивые земли.

9 B ut I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

(74-10) А я буду возвещать вечно, буду воспевать Бога Иаковлева,

10 A nd I will cut off all the horns of the wicked, but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

(74-11) все роги нечестивых сломлю, и вознесутся роги праведника.
