1 L embra-te, Senhor, a bem de Davi, de todas as suas aflições;

Remember, O Lord, on David’s behalf, All his affliction;

2 c omo jurou ao Senhor, e fez voto ao Poderoso de Jacó, dizendo:

How he swore to the Lord And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob,

3 N ão entrarei na casa em que habito, nem subirei ao leito em que durmo;

“Surely I will not enter my house, Nor lie on my bed;

4 n ão darei sono aos meus olhos, nem adormecimento

I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids,

5 a té que eu ache um lugar para o Senhor uma morada para o Poderoso de Jacó.

Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

6 E is que ouvimos falar dela em Efrata, e a achamos no campo de Jaar.

Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah, We found it in the field of Jaar.

7 E ntremos nos seus tabernáculos; prostremo-nos ante o escabelo de seus pés.

Let us go into His dwelling place; Let us worship at His footstool.

8 L evanta-te, Senhor, entra no lugar do teu repouso, tu e a arca da tua força.

Arise, O Lord, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength.

9 V istam-se os teus sacerdotes de justiça, e exultem de júbilo os teus santos.

Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, And let Your godly ones sing for joy.

10 P or amor de Davi, teu servo, não rejeites a face do teu ungido.

For the sake of David Your servant, Do not turn away the face of Your anointed.

11 O Senhor jurou a Davi com verdade, e não se desviará dela: Do fruto das tuas entranhas porei sobre o teu trono.

The Lord has sworn to David A truth from which He will not turn back: “ Of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.

12 S e os teus filhos guardarem o meu pacto, e os meus testemunhos, que eu lhes hei de ensinar, também os seus filhos se assentarão perpetuamente no teu trono.

“If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I will teach them, Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forever.”

13 P orque o Senhor escolheu a Sião; desejou-a para sua habitação, dizendo:

For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His habitation.

14 E ste é o lugar do meu repouso para sempre; aqui habitarei, pois o tenho desejado.

“This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.

15 A bençoarei abundantemente o seu mantimento; fartarei de pão os seus necessitados.

“I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her needy with bread.

16 V estirei de salvação os seus sacerdotes; e de júbilo os seus santos exultarão

“Her priests also I will clothe with salvation, And her godly ones will sing aloud for joy.

17 A li farei brotar a força de Davi; preparei uma lâmpada para o meu ungido.

“There I will cause the horn of David to spring forth; I have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed.

18 V estirei de confusão os seus inimigos; mas sobre ele resplandecerá a sua coroa.

“His enemies I will clothe with shame, But upon himself his crown shall shine.”
