1 A cuérdate, Señor, de David, de toda su aflicción;

Remember, O Lord, on David’s behalf, All his affliction;

2 d e cómo juró al Señor, y prometió al Poderoso de Jacob:

How he swore to the Lord And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob,

3 C iertamente no entraré en mi casa, ni en mi lecho me acostaré;

“Surely I will not enter my house, Nor lie on my bed;

4 n o daré sueño a mis ojos, ni a mis párpados adormecimiento,

I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids,

5 h asta que halle un lugar para el Señor, una morada para el Poderoso de Jacob.

Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

6 H e aquí, oímos de ella en Efrata; la hallamos en los campos de Jaar.

Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah, We found it in the field of Jaar.

7 E ntremos a sus moradas; postrémonos ante el estrado de sus pies.

Let us go into His dwelling place; Let us worship at His footstool.

8 L evántate, Señor, al lugar de tu reposo; tú y el arca de tu poder.

Arise, O Lord, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength.

9 V ístanse de justicia tus sacerdotes; y canten con gozo tus santos.

Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, And let Your godly ones sing for joy.

10 P or amor a David tu siervo, no hagas volver el rostro de tu ungido.

For the sake of David Your servant, Do not turn away the face of Your anointed.

11 E l Señor ha jurado a David una verdad de la cual no se retractará: De tu descendencia pondré sobre tu trono.

The Lord has sworn to David A truth from which He will not turn back: “ Of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.

12 S i tus hijos guardan mi pacto, y mi testimonio que les enseñaré, sus hijos también ocuparán tu trono para siempre.

“If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I will teach them, Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forever.”

13 P orque el Señor ha escogido a Sion; la quiso para su habitación.

For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His habitation.

14 E ste es mi lugar de reposo para siempre; aquí habitaré, porque la he deseado.

“This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.

15 S u provisión bendeciré en abundancia; de pan saciaré a sus pobres.

“I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her needy with bread.

16 A sus sacerdotes también vestiré de salvación, y sus santos darán voces de júbilo.

“Her priests also I will clothe with salvation, And her godly ones will sing aloud for joy.

17 A llí haré surgir el poder de David; he preparado una lámpara para mi ungido.

“There I will cause the horn of David to spring forth; I have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed.

18 A sus enemigos cubriré de vergüenza, mas sobre él resplandecerá su corona.

“His enemies I will clothe with shame, But upon himself his crown shall shine.”
