I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will show forth (recount and tell aloud) all Your marvelous works and wonderful deeds!

2 V oi face din Tine bucuria şi veselia mea, voi cînta Numele tău, Dumnezeule Prea Înalte,

I will rejoice in You and be in high spirits; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High!

3 p entrucă vrăjmaşii mei dau înapoi, se clatină, şi pier dinaintea Ta.

When my enemies turned back, they stumbled and perished before You.

4 c ăci Tu îmi sprijineşti dreptatea şi pricina mea, şi stai pe scaunul Tău de domnie ca un judecător drept.

For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging righteously.

5 T u pedepseşti neamurile, nimiceşti pe cel rău, le ştergi numele pentru totdeauna şi pe vecie.

You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

6 S 'au dus vrăjmaşii! N'au rămas din ei decît nişte dărîmături vecinice! Nişte cetăţi dărîmate de Tine! Li s'a şters pomenirea!

The enemy have been cut off and have vanished in everlasting ruins, You have plucked up and overthrown their cities; the very memory of them has perished and vanished.

7 E i s'au dus, dar Domnul împărăteşte în veac, şi Şi -a pregătit scaunul de domnie pentru judecată.

But the Lord shall remain and continue forever; He has prepared and established His throne for judgment.

8 E l judecă lumea cu dreptate, judecă popoarele cu nepărtinire.

And He will judge the world in righteousness (rightness and equity); He will minister justice to the peoples in uprightness.

9 D omnul este scăparea celui asuprit, scăpare la vreme de necaz.

The Lord also will be a refuge and a high tower for the oppressed, a refuge and a stronghold in times of trouble (high cost, destitution, and desperation).

10 C ei ce cunosc Numele Tău, se încred în Tine, căci Tu nu părăseşti pe cei ce Te caută, Doamne!

And they who know Your name will lean on and confidently put their trust in You, for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek (inquire of and for) You.

11 C întaţi Domnului, care împărăţeşte în Sion, vestiţi printre popoare isprăvile Lui!

Sing praises to the Lord, Who dwells in Zion! Declare among the peoples His doings!

12 C ăci El răzbună sîngele vărsat, şi Îşi aduce aminte de cei nenorociţi, nu uită strigătele lor.

For He Who avenges the blood remembers them; He does not forget the cry of the afflicted (the poor and the humble).

13 A i milă de mine, Doamne! Vezi ticăloşia în care mă aduc vrăjmaşii mei, şi ridică-mă din porţile morţii,

Have mercy upon me and be gracious to me, O Lord; consider how I am afflicted by those who hate me, You Who lift me up from the gates of death,

14 c a să vestesc toate laudele Tale, în porţile fiicei Sionului, şi să mă bucur de mîntuirea Ta.

That I may show forth (recount and tell aloud) all Your praises! In the gates of the Daughter of Zion I will rejoice in Your salvation and Your saving help.

15 N eamurile cad în groapa pe care au făcut -o, şi li se prinde piciorul în laţul pe care l-au ascuns.

The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made; in the net which they hid is their own foot caught.

16 D omnul Se arată, face dreptate, şi prinde pe cel rău în lucrul mînilor lui. (Joc de instrumente. Oprire.)

The Lord has made Himself known; He executes judgment; the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands. Higgaion. Selah!

17 C ei răi se întorc la locuinţa morţilor: toate neamurile cari uită pe Dumnezeu.

The wicked shall be turned back into Sheol (the place of the departed spirits of the wicked), even all the nations that forget or are forgetful of God.

18 C ăci cel nenorocit nu este uitat pe vecie, nădejdea celor sărmani nu piere pe vecie.

For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the expectation and hope of the meek and the poor shall not perish forever.

19 S coală-Te, Doamne, ca să nu biruie omul; neamurile să fie judecate înaintea Ta!

Arise, O Lord! Let not man prevail; let the nations be judged before You.

20 A runcă groaza în ei, Doamne, ca să ştie popoarele că nu sînt decît oameni! (Oprire.)

Put them in fear, O Lord, that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah!
