For I know that the Lord is great and that our Lord is above all gods.

6 D omnul face tot ce vrea în ceruri şi pe pămînt, în mări şi în toate adîncurile.

Whatever the Lord pleases, that has He done in the heavens and on earth, in the seas and all deeps—

7 E l ridică norii dela marginile pămîntului, dă naştere la fulgere şi ploaie, şi scoate vîntul din cămările lui.

Who causes the vapors to arise from the ends of the earth, Who makes lightnings for the rain, Who brings the wind out of His storehouses;

8 E l a lovit pe întîii născuţi ai Egiptului, dela oameni pînă la dobitoace.

Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast;

9 A trimes semne şi minuni, în mijlocul tău, Egiptule: împotrivalui Faraon şi împotriva tuturor slujitorilor lui.

Who sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh and all his servants;

10 A lovit multe neamuri, şi a ucis împăraţi puternici:

Who smote nations many and great and slew mighty kings—

11 p e Sihon, împăratul Amoriţilor, pe Og, împăratul Basanului, şi pe toţi împăraţii Canaanului;

Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan.

12 ş i le -a dat ţara de moştenire, de moştenire poporului Său Israel.

gave their land as a heritage, a heritage to Israel His people.

13 D oamne, Numele Tău rămîne pe vecie; Doamne, pomenirea Ta ţine din neam în neam,

Your name, O Lord, endures forever, Your fame, O Lord, throughout all ages.

14 c ăci Domnul va judeca pe poporul Său, şi va avea milă de robii Săi.

For the Lord will judge and vindicate His people, and He will delay His judgments and take into favor His servants.

15 I dolii neamurilor sînt argint şi aur, lucrare făcută de mînile oamenilor.

The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

16 A u gură, şi nu vorbesc, au ochi, şi nu văd,

have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

17 a u urechi, şi totuş n'aud, da, n'au suflare în gură.

They have ears, but they hear not, nor is there any breath in their mouths.

18 C a ei sînt cei ce -i fac, toţi cei ce se încred în ei.

Those who make are like them; so is everyone who trusts in and relies on them.

19 C asa lui Israel, binecuvîntaţi pe Domnul! Casa lui Aaron, binecuvîntaţi pe Domnul!

20 C asa lui Levi, binecuvîntaţi pe Domnul! Cei ce vă temeţi de Domnul, binecuvîntaţi pe Domnul!

Bless the Lord, O house of Levi; you who reverently and worshipfully fear the Lord, bless the Lord!

21 D omnul să fie binecuvîntat din Sion, El, care locuieşte în Ierusalim! Lăudaţi pe Domnul!
