1 ( Către mai marele cîntăreţilor. Un psalm al lui David. O cîntare.) Dumnezeu Se scoală, vrăjmaşii Lui se risipesc, şi protivnicii Lui fug dinaintea Feţei Lui.

God is beginning to arise, and His enemies to scatter; let them also who hate Him flee before Him!

2 C um se risipeşte fumul, aşa -i risipeşti Tu; cum se topeşte ceara la foc, aşa pier cei răi dinaintea lui Dumnezeu.

As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish before the presence of God.

3 D ar cei neprihăniţi se bucură, saltă de bucurie înaintea lui Dumnezeu, şi nu mai pot de veselie.

But let the righteous be glad; let them be in high spirits and glory before God, yes, let them rejoice!

4 C întaţi lui Dumnezeu, lăudaţi Numele Lui! Faceţi drum Celui ce înaintează prin cîmpii. Domnul este Numele Lui: bucuraţi-vă înaintea Lui!

Sing to God, sing praises to His name, cast up a highway for Him Who rides through the deserts—His name is the Lord—be in high spirits and glory before Him!

5 E l este Tatăl orfanilor, Apărătorul văduvelor, El, Dumnezeu, care locuieşte în locaşul Lui cel sfînt.

A father of the fatherless and a judge and protector of the widows is God in His holy habitation.

6 D umnezeu dă o familie celor părăsiţi, El izbăveşte pe prinşii de război şi -i face fericiţi; numai cei răsvrătiţi locuiesc în locuri uscate.

God places the solitary in families and gives the desolate a home in which to dwell; He leads the prisoners out to prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

7 D umnezeule, cînd ai ieşit Tu în fruntea poporului, şi cînd mergeai în pustie, -

O God, when You went forth before Your people, when You marched through the wilderness— Selah!—

8 s 'a cutremurat pămîntul, s'au topit cerurile, dinaintea lui Dumnezeu, s'a zguduit Sinai dinaintea lui Dumnezeu, Dumnezeul lui Israel.

The earth trembled, the heavens also poured down at the presence of God; yonder Sinai quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9 A i dat o ploaie binefăcătoare, Dumnezeule, şi ai întărit moştenirea Ta, sleită de puteri.

You, O God, did send a plentiful rain; You did restore and confirm Your heritage when it languished and was weary.

10 P oporul tău şi -a aşezat locuinţa în ţara, pe care, prin bunătatea Ta, Dumnezeule, o pregătisei pentru cei nenorociţi.

Your flock found a dwelling place in it; You, O God, in Your goodness did provide for the poor and needy.

11 U n cuvînt spune Domnul, şi femeile aducătoare de veşti bune sînt o mare oştire: -

The Lord gives the word; the women who bear and publish are a great host.

12 î mpăraţii oştirilor fug, fug, şi cea care rămîne acasă, împarte prada.

The kings of the enemies’ armies, they flee, they flee! She who tarries at home divides the spoil.

13 P e cînd voi vă odihniţi în mijlocul staulelor, aripile porumbelului sînt acoperite de argint, şi penele lui sînt de un galben auriu. -

Though you may lie among the sheepfolds the wings of a dove are covered with silver, its pinions excessively green with gold.

14 C înd a împrăştiat Cel Autoputernic pe împăraţi în ţară, parcă ningea în Ţalmon.

When the Almighty scattered kings in, it was as when it snows on Zalmon.

15 M unţii lui Dumnezeu, munţii Basanului, munţi cu multe piscuri, munţii Basanului,

Is Mount Bashan the high mountain of summits, Mount Bashan the mount of God?

16 p entruce, munţi cu multe piscuri, purtaţi pismă pe muntele pe care l -a ales Dumnezeu ca locaş împărătesc? Cu toate acestea Domnul va locui în el în veci.

Why do you look with grudging and envy, you many-peaked mountains, at the mountain which God has desired for His dwelling place? Yes, the Lord will dwell in it forever.

17 C arăle Domnului se numără cu douăzecile de mii, cu mii şi mii; Domnul este în mijlocul lor, venind din Sinai în locaşul Său cel sfînt.

The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands upon thousands. The Lord is among them as He was in Sinai, in the Holy Place (the sanctuary in Jerusalem).

18 T e-ai suit pe înălţime, ai luat prinşi de război, ai luat în dar oameni; cei răzvrătiţi vor locui şi ei lîngă Domnul Dumnezeu.

You have ascended on high. You have led away captive a train of vanquished foes; You have received gifts of men, yes, of the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell there with them.

19 B inecuvîntat să fie Domnul, care zilnic ne poartă povara, Dumnezeu, mîntuirea noastră. -(Oprire).

Blessed be the Lord, Who bears our burdens and carries us day by day, even the God Who is our salvation! Selah!

20 D umnezeu este pentru noi Dumnezeul izbăvirilor, şi Domnul, Dumnezeu, ne poate scăpa de moarte.

God is to us a God of deliverances and salvation; and to God the Lord belongs escape from death.

21 D a, Dumnezeu va zdrobi capul vrăjmaşilor Lui, creştetul capului celor ce trăiesc în păcat.

But God will shatter the heads of His enemies, the hairy scalp of such a one as goes on still in his trespasses and guilty ways.

22 D omnul zice: îi voi aduce înapoi din Basan, îi voi aduce înapoi din fundul mării,

The Lord said, I will bring back from Bashan; I will bring them back from the depths of the Sea,

23 c a să-ţi cufunzi piciorul în sînge, şi limba cînilor tăi să-şi capete partea din vrăjmaşii tăi.

That you may crush them, dipping your foot in blood, that the tongues of your dogs may have their share from the foe.

24 E i văd intrarea Ta, Dumnezeule, intrarea Dumnezeului meu, Împăratului meu, în locaşul cel sfînt.

They see Your goings, O God, even the of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.

25 Î n frunte merg cîntăreţii, apoi ceice cîntă din instrumente, în mijlocul fetelor cari sună din timpane.

The singers go in front, the players on instruments last; between them the maidens are playing on tambourines.

26 B inecuvîntaţi pe Dumnezeu în adunări, binecuvîntaţi pe Domnul, ceice vă scoborîţi din Israel!

Bless, give thanks, and gratefully praise God in full congregations, even the Lord, O you who are from the fountain of Israel.

27 I ată tînărul Beniamin, care stăpîneşte peste ei, căpeteniile lui Iuda şi ceata lor, căpeteniile lui Zabulon, căpeteniile lui Neftali.

There is little Benjamin in the lead, the princes of Judah and their company, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.

28 D umnezeul tău te -a făcut puternic. Întăreşte, Dumnezeule, ce ai făcut pentru noi în Templul Tău.

Your God has commanded your strength; O God, display Your might and strengthen what You have wrought for us!

29 Î mpăraţii Îţi vor aduce daruri la Ierusalim.

for Your temple at Jerusalem kings shall bring gifts to You.

30 Î nspăimîntă fiara din trestii, ceata taurilor, cu viţeii popoarelor; calcă în picioare pe ceice îşi pun plăcerea în argint! Risipeşte popoarele cărora le place să se bată!

Rebuke the wild beasts dwelling among the reeds, the herd of bulls (the leaders) with the calves of the peoples; trample underfoot those who lust for tribute money; scatter the peoples who delight in war.

31 C ei mari vin din Egipt: Etiopia aleargă cu mînile întinse spre Dumnezeu.

Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall hasten to stretch out her hands to God.

32 C întaţi lui Dumnezeu, împărăţiile pămîntului, şi lăudaţi pe Domnul! -(Oprire).

Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth, sing praises to the Lord! Selah!

33 C întaţi Celui ce călăreşte pe cerurile cerurilor vecinice! Iată că se aude glasul Lui, glasul Lui cel puternic!

to Him Who rides upon the heavens, the ancient heavens; behold, He sends forth His voice, His mighty voice.

34 D aţi slavă lui Dumnezeu, a cărui măreţie este peste Israel, şi a cărui putere este în ceruri.

Ascribe power and strength to God; His majesty is over Israel, and His strength and might are in the skies.

35 C e înfricoşat eşti, Dumnezeule, din locaşul Tău cel sfînt! Dumnezeul lui Israel dă poporului Său tărie şi mare putere. Binecuvîntat să fie Dumnezeu!

O God, awe-inspiring, profoundly impressive, and terrible are You out of Your holy places; the God of Israel Himself gives strength and fullness of might to His people. Blessed be God!
