1 Î ngerului Bisericii din Efes scrie -i:,, Iată ce zice Cel ce ţine cele şapte stele în mîna dreaptă, şi Cel ce umblă prin mijlocul celor şapte sfeşnice de aur:

To the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Ephesus write: These are the words of Him Who holds the seven stars in His right hand, Who goes about among the seven golden lampstands:

2 f aptele tale, osteneala ta şi răbdarea ta, şi că nu poţi suferi pe cei răi; că ai pus la încercare pe cei ce zic că sînt apostoli şi nu sînt, şi i-ai găsit mincinoşi.

I know your industry and activities, laborious toil and trouble, and your patient endurance, and how you cannot tolerate wicked and have tested and critically appraised those who call apostles (special messengers of Christ) and yet are not, and have found them to be impostors and liars.

3 Ş tiu că ai răbdare, că ai suferit din pricina Numelui meu, şi că n-ai obosit.

I know you are enduring patiently and are bearing up for My name’s sake, and you have not fainted or become exhausted or grown weary.

4 D ar ce am împotriva ta, este că ţi-ai părăsit dragostea dintîi.

But I have this against you: that you have left (abandoned) the love that you had at first.

5 A du-ţi dar aminte de unde ai căzut; pocăieşte-te, şi întoarce-te la faptele tale dintîi. Altfel, voi veni la tine, şi-ţi voi lua sfeşnicul din locul lui, dacă nu te pocăieşti.

Remember then from what heights you have fallen. Repent (change the inner man to meet God’s will) and do the works you did previously, or else I will visit you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you change your mind and repent.

6 A i însă lucrul acesta bun: că urăşti faptele Nicolaiţilor, pe cari şi Eu le urăsc.

Yet you have this: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I Myself also detest.

7 C ine are urechi, să asculte ce zice Bisericilor Duhul:,, Celui ce va birui, îi voi da să mănînce din pomul vieţii, care este în raiul lui Dumnezeu.``

He who is able to hear, let him listen to and give heed to what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). To him who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

8 Î ngerului Bisericii din Smirna scrie -i:,, Iată ce zice Cel dintîi şi Cel de pe urmă, Cel ce a murit şi a înviat:

And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Smyrna write: These are the words of the First and the Last, Who died and came to life again:

9 n ecazul tău şi sărăcia ta (dar eşti bogat), şi batjocurile, din partea celor ce zic că sînt Iudei şi nu sînt, ci sînt o sinagogă a Satanei.

I know your affliction and distress and pressing trouble and your poverty—but you are rich! and how you are abused and reviled and slandered by those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

10 N u te teme nicidecum de ce ai să suferi. Iată că diavolul are să arunce în temniţă pe unii din voi, ca să vă încerce. Şi veţi avea un necaz de zece zile. Fii credincios pînă la moarte, şi-ţi voi da cununa vieţii.``

Fear nothing that you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is indeed about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested and proved and critically appraised, and for ten days you will have affliction. Be loyally faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.

11 C ine are urechi, să asculte ce zice Bisericilor Duhul:,, Cel ce va birui, nicidecum nu va fi vătămat de a doua moarte.``

He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). He who overcomes (is victorious) shall in no way be injured by the second death.

12 Î ngerului Bisericii din Pergam scrie -i:,, Iată ce zice Cel ce are sabia ascuţită cu două tăişuri:

Then to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Pergamum write: These are the words of Him Who has and wields the sharp two-edged sword:

13 u nde locuieşti: acolo unde este scaunul de domnie al Satanei. Tu ţii Numele Meu, şi n-ai lepădat credinţa Mea nici chiar în zilele acelea cînd Antipa, marturul Meu credincios, a fost ucis la voi, acolo unde locuieşte Satana.

I know where you live—a place where Satan sits enthroned. you are clinging to and holding fast My name, and you did not deny My faith, even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed (martyred) in your midst—where Satan dwells.

14 D ar am ceva împotriva ta. Tu ai acolo nişte oameni cari ţin de învăţătura lui Balaam, care a învăţat pe Balac să pună o piatră de poticnire înaintea copiilor lui Israel, ca să mănînce din lucrurile jertfite idolilor, şi să se dedea la curvie.

Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: you have some people there who are clinging to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to set a trap and a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat food that had been sacrificed to idols and to practice lewdness.

15 T ot aşa, şi tu ai cîţiva cari, deasemenea, ţin învăţătura Nicolaiţilor, pe care Eu o urăsc.

You also have some who in a similar way are clinging to the teaching of the Nicolaitans which thing I hate.

16 P ocăieşte-te dar. Altfel, voi veni la tine curînd, şi Mă voi război cu ei cu sabia gurii Mele.``

Repent! Or else I will come to you quickly and fight against them with the sword of My mouth.

17 C ine are urechi, să asculte ce zice Bisericilor Duhul:,, Celuice va birui, îi voi da să mănînce din mana ascunsă, şi -i voi da o piatră albă; şi pe piatra aceasta este scris un nume nou, pe care nu -l ştie nimeni decît acela care -l primeşte.``

He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). To him who overcomes (conquers), I will give to eat of the manna that is hidden, and I will give him a white stone with a new name engraved on the stone, which no one knows or understands except he who receives it.

18 Î ngerului Bisericii din Tiatira, scrie -i:,, Iată ce zice Fiul lui Dumnezeu, care are ochii ca para focului, şi ale cărui picioare sînt ca arama aprinsă:

And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, Who has eyes that flash like a flame of fire, and Whose feet glow like bright and burnished and white-hot bronze:

19 f aptele tale, dragostea ta, credinţa ta, slujba ta, răbdarea ta şi faptele tale depe urmă, că sînt mai multe decît cele dintîi.

I know your record and what you are doing, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your recent works are more numerous and greater than your first ones.

20 D ar iată ce am împotriva ta: tu laşi ca Iezabela, femeia aceea, care se zice proorociţă, să înveţe şi să amăgească pe robii Mei să se dedea la curvie, şi să mănînce din lucrurile jertfite idolilor.

But I have this against you: that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and who is teaching and leading astray my servants and beguiling them into practicing sexual vice and eating food sacrificed to idols.

21 I -am dat vreme să se pocăiască, dar nu vrea să se pocăiască de curvia ei!

I gave her time to repent, but she has no desire to repent of her immorality and refuses to do so.

22 I ată că am s -o arunc bolnavă în pat; şi celor ce preacurvesc cu ea, am să le trimet un necaz mare, dacă nu se vor pocăi de faptele lor.

Take note: I will throw her on a bed '> of anguish], and those who commit adultery with her I will bring down to pressing distress and severe affliction, unless they turn away their minds from conduct hers and repent of their doings.

23 V oi lovi cu moartea pe copiii ei. Şi toate Bisericile vor cunoaşte că,, Eu sînt Cel ce cercetez rărunchii şi inima``: şi voi răsplăti fiecăruia din voi după faptele lui.

And I will strike her children (her proper followers) dead. And all the assemblies (churches) shall recognize and understand that I am He Who searches minds (the thoughts, feelings, and purposes) and the hearts, and I will give to each of you as your work deserves.

24 V ouă, însă, tuturor celorlalţi din Tiatira, cari nu aveţi învăţătura aceasta, şi n'aţi cunoscut,, adîncimile Satanei``, cum le numesc ei, vă zic:,, Nu pun peste voi altă greutate.

But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not explored and known the depths of Satan, as they say—I tell you that I do not lay upon you any other burden:

25 N umai ţineţi cu tărie ce aveţi, pînă voi veni!

Only hold fast to what you have until I come.

26 C elui ce va birui şi celui ce va păzi pînă la sfîrşit lucrările Mele, îi voi da stăpînire peste Neamuri.

And he who overcomes (is victorious) and who obeys My commands to the end, I will give him authority and power over the nations;

27 L e va cîrmui cu un toiag de fer, şi le va zdrobi ca pe nişte vase de lut, cum am primit şi Eu putere dela Tatăl Meu.

And he shall rule them with a sceptre (rod) of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, and like that which I Myself have received from My Father;

28 Ş i -i voi da luceafărul de dimineaţă.``

And I will give him the Morning Star.

29 C ine are urechi, să asculte ce zice Bisericilor Duhul.

He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches).
