1 V oi toţi cei însetaţi, veniţi la ape, chiar şi cel ce n'are bani! Veniţi şi cumpăraţi bucate, veniţi şi cumpăraţi vin şi lapte, fără bani şi fără plată!

Wait and listen, everyone who is thirsty! Come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

2 D e ce cîntăriţi argint pentru un lucru care nu hrăneşte? De ce vă daţi cîştigul muncii pentru ceva care nu satură? Ascultaţi-Mă dar, şi veţi mînca ce este bun, şi sufletul vostru se va desfăta cu bucate gustoase.

Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your earnings for what does not satisfy? Hearken diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

3 L uaţi aminte, şi veniţi la Mine, ascultaţi, şi sufletul vostru va trăi: căci Eu voi încheia cu voi un legămînt vecinic, ca să întăresc îndurările Mele faţă de David.

Incline your ear and come to Me; hear, and your soul will revive; and I will make an everlasting covenant or league with you, even the sure mercy (kindness, goodwill, and compassion) promised to David.

4 I ată, l-am pus martor pe lîngă poapore, cap şi stăpînitor al popoarelor.

Behold, I have appointed him (Him) to be a witness to the nations, a prince (Prince) and commander (Commander) to the peoples.

5 Î ntradevăr, vei chema neamuri, pe cari nu le cunoşti, şi popoare cari nu te cunosc vor alerga la tine, pentru Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, pentru Sfîntul lui Israel, care te proslăveşte.``

Behold, you shall call nations that you know not, and nations that do not know you shall run to you because of the Lord your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for He has glorified you.

6 C ăutaţi pe Domnul cîtă vreme se poate găsi; chemaţi -L, cîtă vreme este aproape.

Seek, inquire for, and require the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.

7 S ă se lase cel rău de calea lui, şi omul nelegiuit să se lase de gîndurile lui, să se întoarcă la Domnul care va avea milă de el, la Dumnezeul nostru, care nu oboseşte iertînd.

Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have love, pity, and mercy for him, and to our God, for He will multiply to him His abundant pardon.

8 C ăci gîndurile Mele nu sînt gîndurile voastre, şi căile voastre nu sînt căile Mele, zice Domnul.

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord.

9 C i cît sînt de sus cerurile faţă de pămînt, atît sînt de sus căile Mele faţă de căile voastre şi gîndurile Mele faţă de gîndurile voastre.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.

10 C ăci dupăcum ploaia şi zăpada se pogoară din ceruri, şi nu se mai întorc înapoi, ci udă pămîntul şi -l fac să rodească şi să odrăslească, pentruca să dea sămînţă sămănătorului şi pîne celui ce mănîncă,

For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,

11 t ot aşa şi Cuvîntul Meu, care iese din gura Mea, nu se întoarce la Mine fără rod, ci va face voia Mea şi va împlini planurile Mele.

So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

12 D a, veţi ieşi cu bucurie, şi veţi fi călăuziţi în pace. Munţii şi dealurile vor răsuna de veselie înaintea voastră, şi toţi copacii din cîmpie vor bate din palme.

For you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

13 Î n locul spinului se va înălţa chiparosul, în locul mărăcinilor va creşte mirtul. Şi lucrul acesta va fi o slavă pentru Domnul, un semn vecinic, nepieritor.``

Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; and it shall be to the Lord for a name of renown, for an everlasting sign and memorial, which shall not be cut off.
