1 ( Un psalm al lui Solomon.) Dumnezeule, dă judecăţile Tale împăratului, şi dă dreptatea Ta fiului împăratului!

Give the king Your judging, O God, and Your righteousness to the king’s son.

2 Ş i el va judeca pe poporul Tău cu dreptate, şi pe nenorociţii Tăi cu nepărtinire.

Let him judge and govern Your people with righteousness, and Your poor and afflicted ones with judgment and justice.

3 M unţii vor aduce pace poporului, şi dealurile de asemenea, ca urmare a dreptăţii Tale.

The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the hills, through righteousness.

4 E l va face dreptate nenorociţilor poporului, va scăpa pe copiii săracului, şi va zdrobi pe asupritor.

May he judge and defend the poor of the people, deliver the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor,

5 A şa că se vor teme de Tine, cît va fi soarele, şi cît se va arăta luna, din neam în neam;

So that they may revere and fear You while the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

6 v a fi ca o ploaie, care cade pe un pămînt cosit, ca o ploaie repede, care udă cîmpia.

May he be like rain that comes down upon the mown grass, like showers that water the earth.

7 Î n zilele lui va înflori cel neprihănit, şi va fi belşug de pace pînă nu va mai fi lună.

In His days shall the righteous flourish and peace abound till there is a moon no longer.

8 E l va stăpîni dela o mare la alta, şi dela Rîu pînă la marginile pămîntului.

He shall have dominion also from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.

9 L ocuitorii pustiei îşi vor pleca genunchiul înaintea lui, şi vrăjmaşii vor linge ţărîna.

Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before Him and His enemies shall lick the dust.

10 Î mpăraţii Tarsisului şi ai ostroavelor vor plăti biruri, împăraţii Sebei şi Sabei vor aduce daruri.

The kings of Tarshish and of the coasts shall bring offerings; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

11 D a, toţi împăraţii se vor închina înaintea lui, toate neamurile îi vor sluji.

Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him, all nations shall serve Him.

12 C ăci el va izbăvi pe săracul care strigă, şi pe nenorocitul, care n'are ajutor.

For He delivers the needy when he calls out, the poor also and him who has no helper.

13 V a avea milă de cel nenorocit şi de cel lipsit, şi va scăpa viaţa săracilor;

He will have pity on the poor and weak and needy and will save the lives of the needy.

14 î i va izbăvi de apăsare şi de silă, şi sîngele lor va fi scump înaintea lui.

He will redeem their lives from oppression and fraud and violence, and precious and costly shall their blood be in His sight.

15 E i vor trăi, şi -i vor da aur din Seba; se vor ruga neîncetat pentru el, şi -l vor binecuvînta în fiecare zi.

And He shall live; and to Him shall be given gold of Sheba; prayer also shall be made for Him and through Him continually, and they shall bless and praise Him all the day long.

16 V a fi belşug de grîu în ţară, pînă în vîrful munţilor, şi spicele lor se vor clătina ca şi copacii din Liban; oamenii vor înflori în cetăţi ca iarba pămîntului.

There shall be abundance of grain in the soil upon the top of the mountains; the fruit of it shall wave like Lebanon, and the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

17 N umele lui va dăinui pe vecie: cît soarele îi va ţinea numele. Cu el se vor binecuvînta unii pe alţii, şi toate neamurile îl vor numi fericit.

His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed and bless themselves by Him; all nations shall call Him blessed!

18 B inecuvîntat să fie Domnul, Dumnezeul lui Israel, singurul care face minuni!

Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who alone does wondrous things!

19 B inecuvîntat să fie în veci slăvitul Lui Nume! Tot pămîntul să se umple de slava Lui! Amin! Amin!

Blessed be His glorious name forever; let the whole earth be filled with His glory! Amen and Amen!

20 S fîrşitul rugăciunilor lui David, fiul lui Isai.
