1 Î n Tine, Doamne, îmi caut scăparea: să nu rămîn de ruşine niciodată!

In You, O Lord, do I put my trust and confidently take refuge; let me never be put to shame or confusion!

2 S capă-mă, în dreptatea Ta, şi izbăveşte-mă! Pleacă-Ţi urechea spre mine, şi ajută-mi.

Deliver me in Your righteousness and cause me to escape; bow down Your ear to me and save me!

3 F ii o stîncă de adăpost pentru mine, unde să pot fugi totdeauna! Tu ai hotărît să mă scapi, căci Tu eşti stînca şi cetăţuia mea.

Be to me a rock of refuge in which to dwell, and a sheltering stronghold to which I may continually resort, which You have appointed to save me, for You are my Rock and my Fortress.

4 I zbăveşte-mă, Dumnezeule, din mîna celui rău, din mîna omului nelegiuit şi asupritor!

Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the grasp of the unrighteous and ruthless man.

5 C ăci Tu eşti nădejdea mea, Doamne, Dumnezeule! În Tine mă încred din tinereţea mea.

For You are my hope; O Lord God, You are my trust from my youth and the source of my confidence.

6 P e Tine mă sprijinesc, din pîntecele mamei mele. Tu eşti Binefăcătorul meu încă din pîntecele mamei; pe Tine Te laud fără-'ncetare.

Upon You have I leaned and relied from birth; You are He Who took me from my mother’s womb and You have been my benefactor from that day. My praise is continually of You.

7 P entru mulţi am ajuns ca o minune, dar Tu eşti scăparea mea cea tare.

I am as a wonder and surprise to many, but You are my strong refuge.

8 S ă mi se umple gura de laudele Tale, şi'n fiecare zi să Te slăvească!

My mouth shall be filled with Your praise and with Your honor all the day.

9 N u mă lepăda la vremea bătrîneţei; cînd mi se duc puterile, nu mă părăsi!

Cast me not off nor send me away in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent and my powers fail.

10 C ăci vrăjmaşii mei vorbesc de mine, şi ceice-mi pîndesc viaţa se sfătuiesc între ei,

For my enemies talk against me; those who watch for my life consult together,

11 z icînd:,, L -a părăsit Dumnezeu; urmăriţi -l, puneţi mîna pe el, căci nu -i nimeni care să -l scape!``

Saying, God has forsaken him; pursue and persecute and take him, for there is none to deliver him.

12 D umnezeule, nu Te depărta de mine! Dumnezeule, vino de grab în ajutorul meu!

O God, be not far from me! O my God, make haste to help me!

13 S ă rămînă de ruşine şi nimiciţi, cei ce vor să-mi ia viaţa! Să fie acoperiţi de ruşine şi de ocară, cei ce-mi caută perzarea!

Let them be put to shame and consumed who are adversaries to my life; let them be covered with reproach, scorn, and dishonor who seek and require my hurt.

14 Ş i eu voi nădăjdui pururea, Te voi lăuda tot mai mult.

But I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more.

15 G ura mea va vesti, zi de zi, dreptatea şi mîntuirea Ta, căci nu -i cunosc marginile.

My mouth shall tell of Your righteous acts and of Your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is more than I know.

16 V oi spune lucrările Tale cele puternice, Doamne, Dumnezeule! Voi pomeni dreptatea Ta şi numai pe a Ta.

I will come in the strength and with the mighty acts of the Lord God; I will mention and praise Your righteousness, even Yours alone.

17 D umnezeule, Tu m'ai învăţat din tinereţă, şi pînă acum eu vestesc minunile Tale.

O God, You have taught me from my youth, and hitherto have I declared Your wondrous works.

18 N u mă părăsi, Dumnezeule, chiar la bătrîneţe cărunte, ca să vestesc tăria Ta neamului de acum, şi puterea Ta neamului de oameni care va veni!

Yes, even when I am old and gray-headed, O God, forsake me not, until I have declared Your mighty strength to generation, and Your might and power to all that are to come.

19 D reptatea Ta, Dumnezeule, ajunge pînă la cer; Tu ai săvîrşit lucruri mari: Dumnezeule, cine este ca Tine?

Your righteousness also, O God, is very high, You Who have done great things; O God, who is like You, or who is Your equal?

20 N e-ai făcut să trecem prin multe necazuri şi nenorociri; dar ne vei da iarăş viaţa, ne vei scoate iarăş din adîncurile pămîntului.

You Who have shown us troubles great and sore will quicken us again and will bring us up again from the depths of the earth.

21 Î nalţă-mi mărimea mea, întoarce-Te, şi mîngîie-mă din nou!

Increase my greatness (my honor) and turn and comfort me.

22 Ş i te voi lăuda în sunet de alăută, Îţi voi cînta credincioşia. Dumnezeule, Te voi lăuda cu arfa, Sfîntul lui Israel!

I will also praise You with the harp, even Your truth and faithfulness, O my God; unto You will I sing praises with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.

23 C înd Te voi lăuda, voi fi cu bucuria pe buze, cu bucuria în sufletul, pe care mi l-ai izbăvit;

My lips shall shout for joy when I sing praises to You, and my inner being, which You have redeemed.

24 ş i limba mea va vesti zi de zi dreptatea Ta, căci cei ce-mi caută pierzarea sînt ruşinaţi şi roşi de ruşine.

My tongue also shall talk of Your righteousness all the day long; for they are put to shame, for they are confounded, who seek and demand my hurt.
