1 ( Un psalm al lui David.) Doamne, către Tine strig. Stînca mea! Nu rămînea surd la glasul meu, ca nu cumva, dacă Te vei depărta fără să-mi răspunzi, să ajung ca cei ce se pogoară în groapă.

Unto You do I cry, O Lord my Rock, be not deaf and silent to me, lest, if You be silent to me, I become like those going down to the pit.

2 A scultă glasul rugăciunilor mele, cînd strig către Tine, şi cînd îmi ridic mînile spre locaşul Tău cel Sfînt.

Hear the voice of my supplication as I cry to You for help, as I lift up my hands toward Your innermost sanctuary (the Holy of Holies).

3 N u mă lua de pe pămînt împreună cu cei răi şi cu oamenii nelegiuiţi, cari vorbesc de pace aproapelui lor şi, cînd colo, au răutate în inimă.

Drag me not away with the wicked, with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace with their neighbors, but malice and mischief are in their hearts.

4 R ăsplăteşte-le după lucrările lor şi după răutatea faptelor lor, răsplăteşte-le după lucrarea mînilor lor! Dă-le plata care li se cuvine!

Repay them according to their work and according to the wickedness of their doings; repay them according to the work of their hands; render to them what they deserve.

5 C ăci ei nu iau aminte la lucrările Domnului, la lucrarea mînilor Lui. Să -i doboare şi să nu -i mai scoale!

Because they regard not the works of the Lord nor the operations of His hands, He will break them down and not rebuild them.

6 B inecuvîntat să fie Domnul, căci ascultă glasul rugăciunilor mele.

Blessed be the Lord, because He has heard the voice of my supplications.

7 D omnul este tăria mea şi scutul meu; în El mi se încrede inima, şi sînt ajutat. De aceea îmi este plină de veselie inima, şi -L laud prin cîntările mele.

The Lord is my Strength and my Shield; my heart trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise Him.

8 D omnul este tăria poporului Său, El este Stînca izbăvitoare a unsului Său.

The Lord is their Strength, and He is the Stronghold of salvation to His anointed.

9 M întuieşte, Doamne, poporul Tău, şi binecuvîntează moştenirea Ta! Fii păstorul şi sprijinitorul lor în veci.

Save Your people and bless Your heritage; nourish and shepherd them and carry them forever.
