1 A m văzut pe Domnul stînd pe altar. Şi a zis:,, Loveşte pragul de sus al porţii, ca să se cutremure uşiorii, şi sfărîmă -i peste capetele lor ale tuturora. Rămăşiţa lor însă o voi pierde cu sabia, aşa că niciunul din ei nu va putea să scape fugind, şi niciunul din cei ce vor scăpa, nu va scăpa.

I saw the Lord standing at the altar, and He said, Smite the tops of the pillars until the thresholds tremble, and shatter them on the heads of all of the people; and the remainder of them I will slay with the sword. He who flees of them shall not get away, and he who escapes of them shall not be delivered.

2 D e ar pătrunde chiar pînă în locuinţa morţilor, şi de acolo îi va smulge mîna Mea; de s'ar sui chiar în ceruri, şi de acolo îi voi pogorî.

Though they dig into Sheol (Hades, the dark abode of the gathered dead), from there shall My hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, from there will I bring them down;

3 D e s'ar ascunde chiar pe vîrful Carmelului, şi acolo îi voi căuta şi -i voi lua; de s'ar ascunde de privirile Mele chiar în fundul mării, şi acolo voi porunci şarpelui să -i muşte.

And though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel, from there I will search out and take them; and though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent and it shall bite them.

4 D e ar merge în robie chiar înaintea vrăjmaşilor lor, şi acolo voi porunci săbiei să -i peardă; voi pune astfel ochii pe ei ca să le fac rău, nu bine.

And though they go into captivity before their enemies, there will I command the sword and it shall slay them, and I will set My eyes upon them for evil and not for good.

5 D omnul, Dumnezeul oştirilor, atinge pămîntul, şi se topeşte, şi toţi locuitorii lui jălesc. Se înalţă ca rîul Nil, şi se pogoară ca rîul Egiptului.

The Lord God of hosts, it is He Who touches the earth and it melts, and all who dwell in it mourn; it shall rise like the Nile, all of it, and it shall sink again like the Nile of Egypt.

6 E l Şi -a zidit cămara în ceruri, Şi -a întemeiat bolta deasupra pămîntului; cheamă apele mării, şi le varsă pe faţa pămîntului. Domnul este Numele Lui!

It is He Who builds His upper chambers in the heavens and Who founds His vault over the earth, Who calls to the waters of the sea and pours them out on the face of the earth—The Lord is His name.

7 N u sînteţi voi oare pentru Mine ca şi copiii Etiopienilor, copii ai lui Israel? zice Domnul. N'am scos Eu pe Israel din ţara Egiptului, ca şi pe Filisteni din Caftor şi pe Sirieni din Chir?``

You are no more to Me than these Cushites, says the Lord. I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt, but have I not brought the Philistines out of Caphtor and the Syrians from Kir?

8 I ată, Domnul Dumnezeu are ochii pironiţi peste împărăţia aceasta vinovată, ca s'o nimicesc de pe faţa pămîntului; totuş nu voi nimici de tot casa lui Iacov, zice Domnul.``

Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom and I will destroy it from the surface of the ground, except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, says the Lord.

9 C ăci iată, voi porunci, şi voi vîntura casa lui Israel între toate neamurile, cum se vîntură cu ciurul, fără să cadă un singur bob la pămînt!

For behold, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations and cause it to move to and fro as grain is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least kernel fall upon the earth and be lost.

10 T oţi păcătoşii poporului Meu vor muri de sabie, cei ce zic:, Nu ne va ajunge nenorocirea, şi nu va veni peste noi.``

All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, who say, The evil shall not overtake or meet us.

11 v remea aceea voi ridica din căderea lui cortul lui David, îi voi drege spărturile, îi voi ridica dărîmăturile, şi -l voi zidi iarăş cum era odinioară,

In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David, the fallen hut or booth, and close up its breaches; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old,

12 c a să stăpînească rămăşiţa Edomului şi toate neamurile peste cari a fost chemat Numele Meu, zice Domnul, care va împlini aceste lucruri.

That they may possess the remnant of Edom and of all the nations that are called by My name, says the Lord Who does this.

13 I ată, vin zile, zice Domnul, cînd plugarul va ajunge pe secerător, şi cel ce calcă strugurii pe cel ce împrăştie sămînţa, cînd mustul va picura din munţi şi va curge de pe toate dealurile.

Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine and all the hills shall melt.

14 V oi aduce înapoi pe prinşii de război ai poporului Meu Israel; ei vor zidi iarăş cetăţile pustiite şi le vor locui, vor sădi vii şi le vor bea vinul, vor face grădini şi le vor mînca roadele.

And I will bring back the exiles of My people Israel, and they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards and drink the wine from them; they shall also make gardens and eat the fruit of them.

15 Î i voi sădi în ţara lor, şi nu vor mai fi smulşi din ţara pe care le-am dat -o, zice Domnul, Dumnezeul tău!`

And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be torn up out of their land which I gave them, says the Lord your God.
