1 أ عطِ يا اللهَ حُكماً سَدِيداً لِلمَلِكِ. وَلِابنِ المَلِكِ أعْطِ العَدلَ وَالإنصافَ.

Give the king Your judging, O God, and Your righteousness to the king’s son.

2 ل ِكَي يَحكُمَ المَلِكُ شَعبَكَ بِالإنصافِ وَيَقضِيَ بِالعَدلِ للمَساكِينِ.

Let him judge and govern Your people with righteousness, and Your poor and afflicted ones with judgment and justice.

3 ل ِكَي تُثمِرَ الجِبالُ سَلاماً، وَالتِّلالُ أعمالَ خَيرٍ.

The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the hills, through righteousness.

4 ل ِكَي يُنصِفَ المَلِكُ المَساكِينَ وَيُغِيثَ المُحتاجَ وَيُعاقِبَ الظّالِمِينَ.

May he judge and defend the poor of the people, deliver the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor,

5 ل ِكَي يَخافَكَ وَيَتَّقِيكَ البَشَرُ جِيلاً بَعدَ جِيلٍ طالَما وُجِدَتْ شَمسٌ وَكانَ قَمَرٌ!

So that they may revere and fear You while the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

6 و َلِيَكُنِ المَلِكُ كَالنَّدَى عَلَى عُشْبِ الحَقلِ. وَكَالمَطَرِ النّازِلِ عَلَى الأرْضِ.

May he be like rain that comes down upon the mown grass, like showers that water the earth.

7 ل ِيَزدَهِرِ الإنسانُ المُستَقِيمُ فِي حَياتِهِ، وَلِيَزدَهِرْ سَلامُهُ إلَى الأبَدِ.

In His days shall the righteous flourish and peace abound till there is a moon no longer.

8 ل ِيَمتَدَّ مُلْكُهُ مِنَ البَحرِ إلَى البَحرِ، وَمِنَ النَّهْرِ إلَى أقاصِي الأرْضِ.

He shall have dominion also from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.

9 ل ِيَنْحَنِ لَهُ أعداؤُهُ، سُكّانُ الصَّحراءِ، وَليَلحَسُوا تُرابَ قَدَمَيهِ.

Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before Him and His enemies shall lick the dust.

10 ل ِيَأتِهِ مُلُوكُ تَرْشِيشَ وَالسَّواحِلِ بِهَدايا، وَلِيُقَدِّمْ لَهُ مُلُوكُ شَبا وَسَبأَ ضَرِيبَةً.

The kings of Tarshish and of the coasts shall bring offerings; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

11 ل ِيَنْحَنِ خُضُوعاً لَهُ كُلُّ المُلُوكِ، وَلِتَخدِمْهُ كُلُّ الشُّعُوبِ.

Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him, all nations shall serve Him.

12 ل أنَّهُ يُنقِذُ المَساكِينَ وَالمُحتاجِينَ المُستَغِيثِينَ، الَّذِينَ لا مُنقِذَ لَهُمْ.

For He delivers the needy when he calls out, the poor also and him who has no helper.

13 ع َلَى المَساكِينَ وَالبائِسِينَ يَتَحَنَّنُ المَلِكُ، وَيُخَلِّصُ حَياةَ العاجِزِينَ المُحتاجِينَ.

He will have pity on the poor and weak and needy and will save the lives of the needy.

14 م ِنَ المَكائِدِ الخَبِيثَةِ وَالبَطشِ يَفدِي نُفُوسَهُمْ. فَحَياتُهُمْ ثَمِينَةٌ لَدَيهِ.

He will redeem their lives from oppression and fraud and violence, and precious and costly shall their blood be in His sight.

15 ل َيتَ عُمرَ المَلِكِ يَطُولُ وَيَكُونَ ذَهَبُ شَبا مِنْ نَصِيبِهِ. لَيتَ النّاسَ يُصَلُّونَ لأجلِهِ وَيُبارِكُونَهُ دائِماً.

And He shall live; and to Him shall be given gold of Sheba; prayer also shall be made for Him and through Him continually, and they shall bless and praise Him all the day long.

16 ل َيتَ حُقُولَ الحُبُوبِ تُغَطِّي رُؤُوسَ الجِبالِ! لَيتَ ثَمَرَها يَكبُرُ كَأرْزِ لُبنانَ، وَيَطلُعُ مِنَ المُدُنِ كَالعُشبِ فِي الحُقُولِ.

There shall be abundance of grain in the soil upon the top of the mountains; the fruit of it shall wave like Lebanon, and the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

17 ل َيْتَ اسْمَهُ يَدُومُ إلَى الأبَدِ، وَيَعْرِفُهُ كُلُّ مَنْ هُوَ تَحتَ الشَّمسِ. لَيتَ الأُمَمَ بِاسْمِهِ تَتَبارَكُ، وَيَطلُبُونَ لَهُ البَرَكَةَ.

His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed and bless themselves by Him; all nations shall call Him blessed!

18 ل ِيَتَبارَكِ اللهُ ، إلَهُ إسْرائِيلَ الَّذِي وَحدَهُ يَصنَعُ العَجائِبَ!

Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who alone does wondrous things!

19 ل ِيَتَبارَكِ اسْمُهُ المَجِيدُ إلَى الأبَدِ، وَلْيَملأْ مَجْدُهُ كُلَّ الأرْضِ. آمِينَ ثُمَّ آمِينَ.

Blessed be His glorious name forever; let the whole earth be filled with His glory! Amen and Amen!

20 ب ِهَذا تَنتَهِي صَلَواتُ داوُدَ بْنِ يَسَّى.
