1 و َقالَ اللهُ لِي: «اذْهَبْ وَأحبِبِ امْرأةً زانِيَةً يُحِبُّها رَجُلٌ آخَرُ. أحبِبْها كَما أحَبَّ اللهُ بَني إسْرائِيلَ، مَعَ أنَّهُمْ يَبتَعِدُونَ عَنهُ إلَى آلِهَةٍ أُخْرَى وَيُحِبُّونَ الكَعكَ بِالزَّبِيبِ.»

Then said the Lord to me, Go again, love woman who is beloved of a paramour and is an adulteress, even as the Lord loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love cakes of raisins.

2 ا شتَرَيتُها بِخَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ مِثْقالاً مِنَ الفِضَّةِ، وَبِكِيسٍ وَنِصْفِ الكِيسِ مِنَ الشَّعِيرِ.

So I bought her for fifteen pieces of silver and a homer and a half of barley.

3 و َقُلْتُ لَها: «سَتَعِيشِينَ مَعِي مُدَّةً طَوِيلَةً مِنْ غَيرِ زِنَىً، وَلَن تَتَزَوَّجِي شَخصاً آخَرَ، وَأنا سَأكُونُ زَوجَكِ.»

And I said to her, You shall be to me for many days; you shall not play the harlot and you shall not belong to another man. So will I also be to you.

4 و َهَكَذا سَيَعِيشُ بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ مِنْ غَيرِ مَلِكٍ وَلا رَئِيسٍ لأيّامٍ كَثِيرَةٍ. مِنْ غَيرِ ذَبِيحَةٍ وَلا نَصَبٍ تَذْكارِيٍّ وَلا ثَوبٍ كَهَنُوتِيٍّ وَلا آلِهَةٍ.

For the children of Israel shall dwell and sit deprived many days, without king or prince, without sacrifice or pillar, and without ephod or teraphim (household gods).

5 ب َعدَ هَذا، سَيَرجِعُ بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ، وَسَيَطلُبُونَ إلَهَهُمْ وَداوُدَ مَلِكَهُمْ. وَفِي الأيّامِ الأخيرَةِ، سَيَهابُونَ اللهَ مِنْ أجلِ صَلاحِهِ.

Afterward shall the children of Israel return and seek the Lord their God, and David, their King; and they shall come in fear to the Lord and to His goodness and His good things in the latter days.
