1 P raise Yah! Praise Yahweh’s name! Praise him, you servants of Yahweh,

Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) Praise the name of the Lord; praise Him, O you servants of the Lord!

2 y ou who stand in Yahweh’s house, in the courts of our God’s house.

You who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God,

3 P raise Yah, for Yahweh is good. Sing praises to his name, for that is pleasant.

Praise the Lord! For the Lord is good; sing praises to His name, for He is gracious and lovely!

4 F or Yah has chosen Jacob for himself; Israel for his own possession.

For the Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His peculiar possession and treasure.

5 F or I know that Yahweh is great, that our Lord is above all gods.

6 W hatever Yahweh pleased, that he has done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps;

Whatever the Lord pleases, that has He done in the heavens and on earth, in the seas and all deeps—

7 w ho causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth; who makes lightnings with the rain; who brings the wind out of his treasuries;

Who causes the vapors to arise from the ends of the earth, Who makes lightnings for the rain, Who brings the wind out of His storehouses;

8 W ho struck the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and animal;

Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast;

9 W ho sent signs and wonders into the middle of you, Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his servants;

10 w ho struck many nations, and killed mighty kings,

Who smote nations many and great and slew mighty kings—

11 S ihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan,

12 a nd gave their land for a heritage, a heritage to Israel, his people.

13 Y our name, Yahweh, endures forever; your renown, Yahweh, throughout all generations.

14 F or Yahweh will judge his people, and have compassion on his servants.

For the Lord will judge and vindicate His people, and He will delay His judgments and take into favor His servants.

15 T he idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

16 T hey have mouths, but they can’t speak. They have eyes, but they can’t see.

17 T hey have ears, but they can’t hear; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

18 T hose who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.

19 H ouse of Israel, praise Yahweh! House of Aaron, praise Yahweh!

20 H ouse of Levi, praise Yahweh! You who fear Yahweh, praise Yahweh!

Bless the Lord, O house of Levi; you who reverently and worshipfully fear the Lord, bless the Lord!

21 B lessed be Yahweh from Zion, Who dwells at Jerusalem. Praise Yah!
