1 M oses assembled all the congregation of the children of Israel, and said to them, “These are the words which Yahweh has commanded, that you should do them.

Moses gathered all the congregation of the Israelites together and said to them, These are the things which the Lord has commanded that you do:

2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of solemn rest to Yahweh: whoever does any work in it shall be put to death.

Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day shall be to you a holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the Lord; whoever works shall be put to death.

3 Y ou shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations on the Sabbath day.’”

You shall kindle no fire in all your dwellings on the Sabbath day.

4 M oses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which Yahweh commanded, saying,

And Moses said to all the congregation of the Israelites, This is what the Lord commanded:

5 Take from among you an offering to Yahweh. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, Yahweh’s offering: gold, silver, brass,

Take from among you an offering to the Lord. Whoever is of a willing and generous heart, let him bring the Lord’s offering: gold, silver, and bronze;

6 b lue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair,

Blue, purple, and scarlet, fine linen; goats’ hair;

7 r ams’ skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood,

And rams’ skins tanned red, and skins of dolphins or porpoises; and acacia wood;

8 o il for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense,

And oil for the light; and spices for anointing oil and for fragrant incense;

9 o nyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate.

And onyx stones and other stones to be set for the ephod and the breastplate.

10 ‘Let every wise-hearted man among you come, and make all that Yahweh has commanded:

And let every able and wisehearted man among you come and make all that the Lord has commanded:

11 t he tabernacle, its outer covering, its roof, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets;

The tabernacle, its tent and its covering, its hooks, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets or bases;

12 t he ark, and its poles, the mercy seat, the veil of the screen;

The ark and its poles, with the mercy seat, and the veil of the screen;

13 t he table with its poles and all its vessels, and the show bread;

The table and its poles and all its utensils, and the showbread (the bread of the Presence);

14 t he lamp stand also for the light, with its vessels, its lamps, and the oil for the light;

15 a nd the altar of incense with its poles, the anointing oil, the sweet incense, the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle;

And the incense altar and its poles, the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, the hanging or screen for the door at the entrance of the tabernacle;

16 t he altar of burnt offering, with its grating of brass, it poles, and all its vessels, the basin and its base;

The altar of burnt offering, with its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils, the laver and its base;

17 t he hangings of the court, its pillars, their sockets, and the screen for the gate of the court;

The court’s hangings, its pillars and their sockets or bases, and the hanging or screen for the gate of the court;

18 t he pins of the tabernacle, the pins of the court, and their cords;

The pegs of the tabernacle and of the court, and their cords,

19 t he finely worked garments, for ministering in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office.’”

The finely wrought garments for ministering in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and for his sons to minister as priests.

20 A ll the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

Then all the congregation of the Israelites left Moses’ presence.

21 T hey came, everyone whose heart stirred him up, and everyone whom his spirit made willing, and brought Yahweh’s offering, for the work of the Tent of Meeting, and for all of its service, and for the holy garments.

And they came, each one whose heart stirred him up and whose spirit made him willing, and brought the Lord’s offering to be used for the Tent of Meeting, for all its service, and the holy garments.

22 T hey came, both men and women, as many as were willing-hearted, and brought brooches, earrings, signet rings, and armlets, all jewels of gold; even every man who offered an offering of gold to Yahweh.

23 E veryone, with whom was found blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair, rams’ skins dyed red, and sea cow hides, brought them.

And everyone with whom was found blue or purple or scarlet, or fine linen, or goats’ hair, or rams’ skins made red, or dolphin or porpoise skins brought them.

24 E veryone who offered an offering of silver and brass brought Yahweh’s offering; and everyone, with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service, brought it.

Everyone who could make an offering of silver or bronze brought it as the Lord’s offering, and every man with whom was found any acacia wood for any work of the service brought it.

25 A ll the women who were wise-hearted spun with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, the blue, the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen.

All the women who had ability and were wisehearted spun with their hands and brought what they had spun of blue and purple and scarlet and fine linen;

26 A ll the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun the goats’ hair.

And all the women who had ability and whose hearts stirred them up in wisdom spun the goats’ hair.

27 T he rulers brought the onyx stones, and the stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastplate;

The leaders brought onyx stones and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate,

28 a nd the spice, and the oil for the light, for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.

And spice, and oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense.

29 T he children of Israel brought a freewill offering to Yahweh; every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all the work, which Yahweh had commanded to be made by Moses.

The Israelites brought a freewill offering to the Lord, all men and women whose hearts made them willing and moved them to bring anything for any of the work which the Lord had commanded by Moses to be done.

30 M oses said to the children of Israel, “Behold, Yahweh has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

And Moses said to the Israelites, See, the Lord called by name Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;

31 H e has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of workmanship;

And He has filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and wisdom, with intelligence and understanding, and with knowledge and all craftsmanship,

32 a nd to make skillful works, to work in gold, in silver, in brass,

To devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze,

33 i n cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of skillful workmanship.

In cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, for work in every skilled craft.

34 H e has put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

And God has put in Bezalel’s heart that he may teach, both he and Aholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

35 H e has filled them with wisdom of heart, to work all kinds of workmanship, of the engraver, of the skillful workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of those who do any workmanship, and of those who make skillful works.

He has filled them with wisdom of heart and ability to do all manner of craftsmanship, of the engraver, of the skillful workman, of the embroiderer in blue, purple, and scarlet and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of those who do or design any skilled work.
