Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise!

3 F or Yahweh is a great God, a great King above all gods.

For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

4 I n his hand are the deep places of the earth. The heights of the mountains are also his.

In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights and strength of the hills are His also.

5 T he sea is his, and he made it. His hands formed the dry land.

The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land.

6 O h come, let’s worship and bow down. Let’s kneel before Yahweh, our Maker,

O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

7 f or he is our God. We are the people of his pasture, and the sheep in his care. Today, oh that you would hear his voice!

For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice,

8 D on’t harden your heart, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness,

Harden not your hearts as at Meribah and as at Massah in the day of temptation in the wilderness,

9 w hen your fathers tempted me, tested me, and saw my work.

When your fathers tried My patience and tested Me, proved Me, and saw My work.

10 F orty long years I was grieved with that generation, and said, “It is a people that errs in their heart. They have not known my ways.”

Forty years long was I grieved and disgusted with that generation, and I said, It is a people that do err in their hearts, and they do not approve, acknowledge, or regard My ways.

11 T herefore I swore in my wrath, “They won’t enter into my rest.”

Wherefore I swore in My wrath that they would not enter My rest.
