(48-3) Препишна країна, розрада всієї землі, то Сіонська гора, на північних околицях, місто Царя можновладного!

3 G od is in her palaces; He is known as her refuge.

(48-4) Бог у храмах Своїх, за твердиню Він знаний.

4 F or behold, the kings assembled, They passed by together.

(48-5) Бо царі ось зібрались, ішли вони разом,

5 T hey saw it, and so they marveled; They were troubled, they hastened away.

(48-6) але, як побачили, то здивувались, полякалися та й розпорошились...

6 F ear took hold of them there, And pain, as of a woman in birth pangs,

(48-7) Обгорнув їх там страх, немов біль породіллю;

7 A s when You break the ships of Tarshish With an east wind.

(48-8) Ти східнім вітром розбив кораблі ті Таршіські.

8 A s we have heard, So we have seen In the city of the Lord of hosts, In the city of our God: God will establish it forever. Selah

(48-9) Як ми чули, так бачили в місті Господа Саваота, у місті нашого Бога, Бог міцно поставить навіки його! Села.

9 W e have thought, O God, on Your lovingkindness, In the midst of Your temple.

(48-10) Розмишляли ми, Боже, про милість Твою серед храму Твого.

10 A ccording to Your name, O God, So is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness.

(48-11) Як ім'я Твоє, Боже, так слава Твоя аж по кінці землі, справедливости повна правиця Твоя!

11 L et Mount Zion rejoice, Let the daughters of Judah be glad, Because of Your judgments.

(48-12) Нехай веселиться Сіонська гора, Юдині дочки хай тішаться через Твої правосуддя.

12 W alk about Zion, And go all around her. Count her towers;

(48-13) Оточіте Сіон й обступіте його, полічіть його башти,

13 M ark well her bulwarks; Consider her palaces; That you may tell it to the generation following.

(48-14) зверніте увагу на вала його, високість палати його пообмірюйте, щоб розповісти поколінню наступному,

14 F or this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide Even to death.

(48-15) бо Цей Бог то наш Бог на вічні віки, Він буде провадити нас аж до смерти!
