1 T hen as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, “Teacher, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! ”

І коли Він виходив із храму, говорить Йому один із учнів Його: Подивися, Учителю яке то каміння та що за будівлі!

2 A nd Jesus answered and said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age

Ісус же до нього сказав: Чи ти бачиш великі будинки оці? Не залишиться тут навіть камінь на камені, який не зруйнується!

3 N ow as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately,

Коли ж Він сидів на Оливній горі, проти храму, питали Його насамоті Петро, і Яків, і Іван, і Андрій:

4 “ Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?”

Скажи нам, коли станеться це? І яка буде ознака, коли все те виконатись має?

5 A nd Jesus, answering them, began to say: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

Ісус же почав промовляти до них: Стережіться, щоб вас хто не звів.

6 F or many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He, ’ and will deceive many.

Бо багато-хто прийдуть в Ім'я Моє, кажучи: Це Я. І зведуть багатьох.

7 B ut when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.

І як про війни почуєте ви, і про воєнні чутки, не лякайтесь, бо статись належить тому. Та це ще не кінець.

8 F or nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows.

Бо повстане народ на народ, і царство на царство, будуть землетруси місцями, буде голод. Це початок терпінь породільних.

9 “ But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them.

Пильнуйте ж самі, бо вас на суди видаватимуть, і бичуватимуть вас у синагогах, і поведуть до правителів та до царів ради Мене, на свідчення їм.

10 A nd the gospel must first be preached to all the nations.

Але перше Євангелія мусить бути народам усім проповідувана.

11 B ut when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

Коли ж видадуть вас і поведуть, не турбуйтеся заздалегідь, що вам говорити, а що дане вам буде тієї години, то те говоріть: бо не ви промовлятимете, але Дух Святий.

12 N ow brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.

І видасть на смерть брата брат, а батько дитину. І діти повстануть навпроти батьків, і їм смерть заподіють.

13 A nd you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. The Great Tribulation

І за Ім'я Моє будуть усі вас ненавидіти. А хто витерпить аж до кінця, той буде спасений!

14 “ So when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” (let the reader understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

Коли ж ви побачите ту гидоту спустошення, що про неї звіщав пророк Даниїл, що вона залягла, де не слід, хто читає, нехай розуміє, тоді ті, хто в Юдеї, нехай в гори втікають.

15 L et him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house.

І хто на покрівлі, нехай той не сходить, і нехай не входить узяти щось із дому свого.

16 A nd let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.

І хто на полі, хай назад не вертається взяти одежу свою.

17 B ut woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!

Горе ж вагітним і тим, хто годує грудьми, у ті дні!

18 A nd pray that your flight may not be in winter.

Моліться ж, щоб не трапилося це зимою!

19 F or in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.

Будуть бо ті дні такою скорботою, що її не було з первопочину світу, що його Бог створив, аж досі, і не буде.

20 A nd unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.

І коли б Господь не вкоротив був тих днів, не спаслася б ніяка людина; але ради вибраних, кого вибрав, укоротив Він ті дні.

21 “ Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, He is there!’ do not believe it.

Тоді ж, як хто скаже до вас: Ото, Христос тут, Ото там, не йміть віри.

22 F or false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Бо повстануть христи неправдиві, і неправдиві пророки, і будуть чинити ознаки та чуда, щоб спокусити, як можна, і вибраних.

23 B ut take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand. The Coming of the Son of Man

Але ви стережіться! Я сказав вам усе наперед.

24 “ But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;

Але за тих днів, по скорботі отій, сонце затьмиться, і місяць не дасть свого світла.

25 t he stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

і зорі спадатимуть з неба, і сили небесні порушаться...

26 T hen they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

І побачать тоді Сина Людського, що йтиме на хмарах із великою потугою й славою.

27 A nd then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven. The Parable of the Fig Tree

І тоді Він пошле Анголів і зберуть Його вибраних від вітрів чотирьох, від краю землі до край-неба.

28 “ Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.

Від дерева ж фіґового навчіться прикладу: коли віття його вже розпукується, і кинеться листя, то знаєте, що близько літо.

29 S o you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near—at the doors!

Так і ви: коли тільки побачите, що діється це, то знайте, що близько, під дверима.

30 A ssuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.

Поправді кажу вам: не перейде цей рід, аж усе оце станеться!

31 H eaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. No One Knows the Day or Hour

Небо й земля проминуться, але не минуться слова Мої!

32 “ But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Про день же той чи про годину не знає ніхто: ні Анголи на небі, ні Син, тільки Отець.

33 T ake heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.

Уважайте, чувайте й моліться: бо не знаєте, коли час той настане!

34 I t is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.

Як той чоловік, що від'їхав, і залишив свій дім, і дав рабам своїм владу й кожному працю свою, а воротареві звелів пильнувати.

35 W atch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning—

Тож пильнуйте, не знаєте бо, коли прийде пан дому: увечорі, чи опівночі, чи як півні співатимуть, чи ранком.

36 l est, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping.

Щоб вас не застав, що спите, коли вернеться він несподівано.

37 A nd what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”

А що вам Я кажу, те всім Я кажу: Пильнуйте!
