1 T hen the Lord said to Moses,

L'Eterno parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo:

2 “ Say to the sons of Israel, ‘When a man makes a special promise, you will decide upon the worth of this person for the Lord.

«Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Quando uno fa un importante voto per consacrare una persona all'Eterno, e intende dare il valore equivalente,

3 T he price you put on a man from twenty to sixty years old will be fifty pieces of silver, by the weight of the holy place.

se il tuo estimo riguarda un maschio dai vent'anni in su, fino ai sessant'anni, allora il tuo estimo sarà di cinquanta sicli d'argento, secondo i siclo del santuario.

4 F or a woman it will be thirty pieces of silver.

Se si tratta di una donna, il tuo estimo sarà di trenta sicli.

5 F or a male from five to twenty years old it will be twenty pieces of silver. For a woman it will be ten pieces of silver.

Dai cinque anni in su fino ai vent'anni, il tuo estimo sarà di venti sicli per un maschio e di dieci sicli per una femmina.

6 Y our price for a child from one month to five years old will be five pieces of silver for the boy, and three pieces of silver for the girl.

Da un mese in su, fino a cinque anni, il tuo estimo sarà di cinque sicli d'argento per un maschio e di tre sicli d'argento per una femmina.

7 Y our price for a person sixty years old and older will be fifteen pieces of silver for the man, and ten pieces of silver for the woman.

Dai sessant'anni in su, il tuo estimo sarà di quindici sicli per un maschio e di dieci sicli per una femmina.

8 B ut if the person is too poor to pay your price, he will be brought to the religious leader. The religious leader will decide the worth of the person by how much he who made the promise is able to pay.

Ma se egli è troppo povero per pagare la somma richiesta dal tuo estimo, allora sarà presentato davanti al sacerdote e il sacerdote ne farà l'estimo. Il sacerdote farà un estimo, in proporzione dei mezzi di colui che ha fatto il voto.

9 ‘ If it is a kind of animal which men give as a gift to the Lord, any such animal that is given to the Lord will be holy.

Se si tratta di animali che possono essere presentati in offerta all'Eterno, ogni animale offerto all'Eterno sarà cosa santa.

10 H e must not have another animal take its place, good for bad or bad for good. If he does trade one animal for another, then both animals will become holy.

Egli non potrà né sostituirlo né scambiarlo, né uno buono con uno cattivo, né uno cattivo con uno buono; e se anche dovesse scambiare un animale con un altro, entrambi saranno cosa sacra.

11 B ut if the animal is unclean and not the kind which men give to the Lord, then he will bring the animal to the religious leader.

Se però si tratta di un animale impuro di cui non si può fare offerta all'Eterno, allora egli presenterà l'animale davanti al sacerdote;

12 T he religious leader will decide if it is good or bad. Whatever price the religious leader puts on it, so it will be.

e il sacerdote ne farà l'estimo, sia l'animale buono o cattivo; qualunque estimo il sacerdote fisserà quello sarà.

13 I f the man wants to buy it again, he will add a fifth to your price.

Ma se uno lo vuole riscattare, dovrà aggiungere un quinto all'estimo.

14 ‘ When a man sets apart his house as holy to the Lord, the religious leader will decide if it is good or bad. Whatever price the religious leader puts on it, so it will be.

Se uno consacra la sua casa per essere cosa santa all'Eterno, il sacerdote ne farà l'estimo, sia essa buona o cattiva; qualunque estimo il sacerdote fisserà quello sarà.

15 I f the man who sets it apart wants to buy his house again, he will add one-fifth part to your price. Then it will be his.

E se colui che ha consacrato la sua casa la vuole riscattare, dovrà aggiungere un quinto all'estimo e sarà sua.

16 ‘ If a man sets apart to the Lord part of a field he owns, you will decide upon its price by the seed needed for it. Ten baskets of barley seed will be worth fifty pieces of silver.

Se uno consacra all'Eterno un campo di sua proprietà, ne farai l'estimo in base alla semente richiesta per essa: cinquanta sicli d'argento per un homer di seme d'orzo.

17 I f he sets apart his field during the Year of Jubilee, it will be worth your full price.

Se consacra il suo campo dall'anno del giubileo, il prezzo resterà quello fissato dal tuo estimo;

18 B ut if he sets apart his field after the Year of Jubilee, the religious leader will decide upon its worth by the years left until the next Year of Jubilee. It will be taken off your price.

ma se consacra il suo campo dopo il giubileo, il sacerdote ne valuterà il prezzo in ragione degli anni che rimangono fino al giubileo, dal tuo estimo.

19 I f the man who sets it apart wants to buy his field again, he will add one-fifth part to your price. Then it will be his.

E se colui che ha consacrato il campo lo vuole riscattare, dovrà aggiungere un quinto al tuo estimo, e resterà suo.

20 B ut if he does not want to buy the field again, or has sold the field to another man, it cannot be bought again.

Ma se non vuole riscattare il campo o se ha venduto il campo ad un altro, non lo si potrà piú riscattare;

21 A nd when the field becomes free in the Jubilee, it will be holy to the Lord, like a field set apart. It will belong to the religious leader.

e il campo, quando viene svincolato al giubileo, sarà santo all'Eterno come un campo destinato a DIO, e diventerà proprietà del sacerdote.

22 I f a man sets apart to the Lord a field he has bought, which is not a part of the land he was given by his father,

Se uno consacra all'Eterno un campo da lui comprato e che non fa parte del suo patrimonio,

23 t he religious leader will decide its worth until the Year of Jubilee. The man will pay that amount on that day as holy to the Lord.

il sacerdote stabilirà per lui il valore del tuo estimo fino all'anno del giubileo, e quel tale verserà il giorno stesso il prezzo da te fissato, come cosa sacra all'Eterno.

24 I n the Year of Jubilee the field will return from him who bought it to the one who owned it first.

Nell'anno del giubileo il campo tornerà a colui da cui fu comprato, e del cui patrimonio faceva parte.

25 T he price of silver used in the holy place will decide its worth. One piece of silver will be worth twenty small pieces of money.

Tutti i tuoi estimi si faranno in sicli del santuario; il siclo è di venti ghere.

26 ‘ But no man may set apart a first-born of the animals. A first-born of the cattle or the flock belongs to the Lord.

Ma nessuno potrà consacrare i primogeniti del bestiame, perché come primogeniti appartengono già all'Eterno; sia esso un bue o un agnello, appartiene all'Eterno.

27 I f it is an animal that is unclean, he will buy it again by paying your price and one-fifth part added to it. If it is not bought again, then it will be sold for your price.

E se si tratta di un animale impuro, lo riscatterà in base al prezzo fissato dal tuo estimo, aggiungendovi un quinto; se non è riscattato, sarà venduto al prezzo fissato dal tuo estimo.

28 ‘ But nothing that a man sets apart to the Lord of all he has, of man or animal or his own land, will be sold or bought. Everything that has been set apart is most holy to the Lord.

Nondimeno nulla di ciò che è destinato a Dio e che uno ha destinato all'Eterno, fra tutte le cose che gli appartengono, si tratti di una persona, di un animale o di un pezzo di terra del suo patrimonio, potrà essere venduto o riscattato; ogni cosa destinata a Dio è cosa santissima all'Eterno.

29 N o person who has been set apart to be destroyed from among men can be paid for. He must be put to death.

Nessuna persona votata allo sterminio potrà essere riscattata; dovrà essere messa a morte.

30 ‘ The tenth part of all the land, of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.

Ogni decima della terra, sia dei prodotti del suolo che dei frutti degli alberi, appartiene all'Eterno; è cosa consacrata all'Eterno.

31 I f a man wants to buy any of the tenth part that belongs to the Lord, he will add one-fifth part to its price.

Se uno vuole riscattare una parte della sua decima, vi aggiungerà il quinto.

32 A nd every tenth animal of the cattle or flock, whatever passes under the shepherd’s stick, the tenth one will be holy to the Lord.

E per la decima della mandria e del gregge, il decimo capo di tutto ciò che passa sotto la verga sarà consacrato all'Eterno.

33 T he man will not ask if it is good or bad, or trade it for something else. If he does trade it for something else, then both will become holy. He cannot buy them again.’”

Non farà distinzione fra buono e cattivo, né farà scambi; e se scambia uno con un altro, ambedue saranno cosa sacra; non si potranno riscattare».

34 T hese are the Laws the Lord gave Moses on Mount Sinai for the sons of Israel.

Questi sono i comandamenti che l'Eterno diede a Mosè per i figli d'Israele sul monte Sinai.
