1 L evanto a Deus a minha voz; a Deus levanto a minha voz, para que ele me ouça.

I cried out to God with my voice— To God with my voice; And He gave ear to me.

2 N o dia da minha angústia busco ao Senhor; de noite a minha mão fica estendida e não se cansa; a minha alma recusa ser consolada.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; My soul refused to be comforted.

3 L embro-me de Deus, e me lamento; queixo-me, e o meu espírito desfalece.

I remembered God, and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah

4 C onservas vigilantes os meus olhos; estou tão perturbado que não posso falar.

You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

5 C onsidero os dias da antigüidade, os anos dos tempos passados.

I have considered the days of old, The years of ancient times.

6 D e noite lembro-me do meu cântico; consulto com o meu coração, e examino o meu espírito.

I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart, And my spirit makes diligent search.

7 R ejeitará o Senhor para sempre e não tornará a ser favorável?

Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more?

8 C essou para sempre a sua benignidade? Acabou-se a sua promessa para todas as gerações

Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His promise failed forevermore?

9 E squeceu-se Deus de ser compassivo? Ou na sua ira encerrou ele as suas ternas misericórdias?

Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah

10 E eu digo: Isto é minha enfermidade; acaso se mudou a destra do Altíssimo?

And I said, “This is my anguish; But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.”

11 R ecordarei os feitos do Senhor; sim, me lembrarei das tuas maravilhas da antigüidade.

I will remember the works of the Lord; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.

12 M editarei também em todas as tuas obras, e ponderarei os teus feitos poderosos

I will also meditate on all Your work, And talk of Your deeds.

13 O teu caminho, ó Deus, é em santidade; que deus é grande como o nosso Deus?

Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary; Who is so great a God as our God?

14 T u és o Deus que fazes maravilhas; tu tens feito notória a tua força entre os povos.

You are the God who does wonders; You have declared Your strength among the peoples.

15 C om o teu braço remiste o teu povo, os filhos de Jacó e de José.

You have with Your arm redeemed Your people, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah

16 A s águas te viram, ó Deus, as águas te viram, e tremeram; os abismos também se abalaram.

The waters saw You, O God; The waters saw You, they were afraid; The depths also trembled.

17 A s nuvens desfizeram-se em água; os céus retumbaram; as tuas flechas também correram de uma para outra parte.

The clouds poured out water; The skies sent out a sound; Your arrows also flashed about.

18 A voz do teu trovão estava no redemoinho; os relâmpagos alumiaram o mundo; a terra se abalou e tremeu.

The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; The lightnings lit up the world; The earth trembled and shook.

19 P elo mar foi teu caminho, e tuas veredas pelas grandes águas; e as tuas pegadas não foram conhecidas.

Your way was in the sea, Your path in the great waters, And Your footsteps were not known.

20 G uiaste o teu povo, como a um rebanho, pela mão de Moisés e de Arão.

You led Your people like a flock By the hand of Moses and Aaron.
