1 Ó Deus, as nações invadiram a tua herança; contaminaram o teu santo templo; reduziram Jerusalém a ruínas.

O God, the nations have come into Your inheritance; Your holy temple they have defiled; They have laid Jerusalem in heaps.

2 D eram os cadáveres dos teus servos como pastos

The dead bodies of Your servants They have given as food for the birds of the heavens, The flesh of Your saints to the beasts of the earth.

3 D erramaram o sangue deles como água ao redor de Jerusalém, e não houve quem os sepultasse.

Their blood they have shed like water all around Jerusalem, And there was no one to bury them.

4 S omos feitos o opróbrio dos nossos vizinhos, o escárnio e a zombaria dos que estão em redor de nós.

We have become a reproach to our neighbors, A scorn and derision to those who are around us.

5 A té quando, Senhor? Indignar-te-ás para sempre? Arderá o teu zelo como fogo?

How long, Lord ? Will You be angry forever? Will Your jealousy burn like fire?

6 D errama o teu furor sobre as nações que não te conhecem, e sobre os reinos que não invocam o teu nome;

Pour out Your wrath on the nations that do not know You, And on the kingdoms that do not call on Your name.

7 p orque eles devoraram a Jacó, e assolaram a sua morada.

For they have devoured Jacob, And laid waste his dwelling place.

8 N ão te lembres contra nós das iniqüidades de nossos pais; venha depressa ao nosso encontro a tua compaixão, pois estamos muito abatidos.

Oh, do not remember former iniquities against us! Let Your tender mercies come speedily to meet us, For we have been brought very low.

9 A juda-nos, ó Deus da nossa salvação, pela glória do teu nome; livra-nos, e perdoa os nossos pecados, por amor do teu nome.

Help us, O God of our salvation, For the glory of Your name; And deliver us, and provide atonement for our sins, For Your name’s sake!

10 P or que diriam as nações: Onde está o seu Deus? Torne-se manifesta entre as nações, ã nossa vista, a vingança do sangue derramado dos teus servos.

Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” Let there be known among the nations in our sight The avenging of the blood of Your servants which has been shed.

11 C hegue ã tua presença o gemido dos presos; segundo a grandeza do teu braço, preserva aqueles que estão condenados ã morte.

Let the groaning of the prisoner come before You; According to the greatness of Your power Preserve those who are appointed to die;

12 E aos nossos vizinhos, deita-lhes no regaço, setuplicadamente, a injúria com que te injuriaram, Senhor.

And return to our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom Their reproach with which they have reproached You, O Lord.

13 A ssim nós, teu povo ovelhas de teu pasto, te louvaremos eternamente; de geração em geração publicaremos os teus louvores.

So we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, Will give You thanks forever; We will show forth Your praise to all generations.
