1 O rei se alegra na tua força, ó Senhor! Como é grande a sua exultação pelas vitórias que lhe dás!

The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord; And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

2 T u lhe concedeste o desejo do seu coração e não lhe rejeitaste o pedido dos seus lábios. Pausa

You have given him his heart’s desire, And have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah

3 T u o recebeste dando-lhe ricas bênçãos, e em sua cabeça puseste uma coroa de ouro puro.

For You meet him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of pure gold upon his head.

4 E le te pediu vida, e tu lhe deste! Vida longa e duradoura.

He asked life from You, and You gave it to him— Length of days forever and ever.

5 P elas vitórias que lhe deste, grande é a sua glória; de esplendor e majestade o cobriste.

His glory is great in Your salvation; Honor and majesty You have placed upon him.

6 F izeste dele uma grande bênção para sempre e lhe deste a alegria da tua presença.

For You have made him most blessed forever; You have made him exceedingly glad with Your presence.

7 O rei confia no Senhor: por causa da fidelidade do Altíssimo ele não será abalado.

For the king trusts in the Lord, And through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be moved.

8 T ua mão alcançará todos os teus inimigos; tua mão direita atingirá todos os que te odeiam.

Your hand will find all Your enemies; Your right hand will find those who hate You.

9 N o dia em que te manifestares farás deles uma fornalha ardente. Na sua ira o Senhor os devorará, um fogo os consumirá.

You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger; The Lord shall swallow them up in His wrath, And the fire shall devour them.

10 A cabarás com a geração deles na terra, com a sua descendência entre os homens.

Their offspring You shall destroy from the earth, And their descendants from among the sons of men.

11 E mbora tramem o mal contra ti e façam planos perversos, nada conseguirão;

For they intended evil against You; They devised a plot which they are not able to perform.

12 p ois tu os porás em fuga quando apontares para eles o teu arco.

Therefore You will make them turn their back; You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces.

13 S ê exaltado, Senhor, na tua força! Cantaremos e louvaremos o teu poder.

Be exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength! We will sing and praise Your power.
