1 “ At this also my heart trembles, And leaps from its place.

“Ante esto, también tiembla mi corazón, Y salta de su lugar.

2 “ Listen closely to the thunder of His voice, And the rumbling that goes out from His mouth.

Escuchen atentamente el estruendo de Su voz, Y el rugido que sale de Su boca.

3 “ Under the whole heaven He lets it loose, And His lightning to the ends of the earth.

Bajo todos los cielos lo suelta, Y Su relámpago hasta los confines de la tierra.

4 “ After it, a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, And He does not restrain the lightnings when His voice is heard.

Tras él, ruge una voz; Truena El con Su majestuosa voz, Y no retiene los relámpagos mientras se oye Su voz.

5 “ God thunders with His voice wondrously, Doing great things which we cannot comprehend.

Maravillosamente truena Dios con Su voz, Haciendo grandes cosas que no comprendemos.

6 “ For to the snow He says, ‘Fall on the earth,’ And to the downpour and the rain, ‘Be strong.’

Porque a la nieve dice: ‘Cae sobre la tierra,’ Y al aguacero y a la lluvia: ‘Sean fuertes.’

7 “ He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.

El sella la mano de todo hombre, Para que todos conozcan Su obra.

8 “ Then the beast goes into its lair And remains in its den.

La fiera entra en su guarida, Y permanece en su madriguera.

9 “ Out of the south comes the storm, And out of the north the cold.

Del sur viene el torbellino, Y del norte el frío.

10 “ From the breath of God ice is made, And the expanse of the waters is frozen.

Del soplo de Dios se forma el hielo, Y se congela la extensión de las aguas.

11 “ Also with moisture He loads the thick cloud; He disperses the cloud of His lightning.

También El llena (carga) de humedad la densa nube, Y esparce la nube con Su relámpago;

12 “ It changes direction, turning around by His guidance, That it may do whatever He commands it On the face of the inhabited earth.

Aquélla gira y da vueltas por Su sabia dirección, Para hacer todo lo que El le ordena Sobre la superficie de toda la tierra.

13 “ Whether for correction, or for His world, Or for lovingkindness, He causes it to happen.

Ya sea por corrección, o por el mundo suyo, O por misericordia, El hace que suceda.

14 “ Listen to this, O Job, Stand and consider the wonders of God.

Escucha esto, Job, Detente y considera las maravillas de Dios.

15 “ Do you know how God establishes them, And makes the lightning of His cloud to shine?

¿Sabes tú cómo Dios las establece, Y hace resplandecer el relámpago de Su nube?

16 “ Do you know about the layers of the thick clouds, The wonders of one perfect in knowledge,

¿Sabes tú la posición de las densas nubes, Maravillas del perfecto en conocimiento,

17 Y ou whose garments are hot, When the land is still because of the south wind?

Tú, cuyos vestidos están calientes Cuando la tierra está en calma a causa del viento del sur?

18 “ Can you, with Him, spread out the skies, Strong as a molten mirror?

¿Puedes con El extender el firmamento, Fuerte como espejo de metal fundido?

19 “ Teach us what we shall say to Him; We cannot arrange our case because of darkness.

Enséñanos qué Le hemos de decir a Dios; No podemos ordenar nuestro argumento a causa de las tinieblas.

20 “ Shall it be told Him that I would speak? Or should a man say that he would be swallowed up?

¿Habrá que contarle que yo quiero hablar? ¿O debe un hombre decir que quiere ser tragado ?

21 “ Now men do not see the light which is bright in the skies; But the wind has passed and cleared them.

Ahora los hombres no ven la luz que brilla en el firmamento; Pero pasa el viento y lo despeja.

22 “ Out of the north comes golden splendor; Around God is awesome majesty.

Del norte viene dorado esplendor: Majestad impresionante alrededor de Dios.

23 “ The Almighty— we cannot find Him; He is exalted in power And He will not do violence to justice and abundant righteousness.

Es el Todopoderoso (el Shaddai); no Lo podemos alcanzar; El es grande en poder, Y no pervertirá el juicio ni la abundante justicia.

24 “ Therefore men fear Him; He does not regard any who are wise of heart.”

Por eso Le temen los hombres; El no estima a ninguno que se cree sabio de corazón.”
