1 I saw another strong angel coming down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud; and the rainbow was upon his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire;

Vi a otro ángel poderoso que descendía del cielo, envuelto en una nube. El arco iris estaba sobre su cabeza, su rostro era como el sol y sus pies como columnas de fuego.

2 a nd he had in his hand a little book which was open. He placed his right foot on the sea and his left on the land;

Tenía en su mano un librito abierto. Puso el pie derecho sobre el mar y el izquierdo sobre la tierra,

3 a nd he cried out with a loud voice, as when a lion roars; and when he had cried out, the seven peals of thunder uttered their voices.

y gritó a gran voz, como ruge un león. Y cuando gritó, los siete truenos emitieron sus voces.

4 W hen the seven peals of thunder had spoken, I was about to write; and I heard a voice from heaven saying, “ Seal up the things which the seven peals of thunder have spoken and do not write them.”

Después que los siete truenos hablaron, iba yo a escribir, cuando oí una voz del cielo que decía: “Sella las cosas que los siete truenos han dicho y no las escribas.”

5 T hen the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to heaven,

Entonces el ángel que yo había visto de pie sobre el mar y sobre la tierra, levantó su mano derecha al cielo,

6 a nd swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that there will be delay no longer,

y juró por Aquél que vive por los siglos de los siglos, quien creo el cielo y las cosas que en el hay, y la tierra y las cosas que en ella hay, y el mar y las cosas que en el hay, que ya no habrá más demora.

7 b ut in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God is finished, as He preached to His servants the prophets.

Porque en los días de la voz del séptimo ángel, cuando esté para tocar la trompeta, entonces el misterio de Dios será consumado, como El lo anunció a Sus siervos los profetas.

8 T hen the voice which I heard from heaven, I heard again speaking with me, and saying, “Go, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the land.”

La voz que yo había oído del cielo, la oí de nuevo hablando conmigo: “Ve, toma el libro (el rollo) que está abierto en la mano del ángel que está de pie sobre el mar y sobre la tierra.”

9 S o I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little book. And he said to me, “ Take it and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.”

Entonces fui al ángel y le dije que me diera el librito. Y él me dijo: “Tóma lo y devóralo. Te amargará las entrañas, pero en tu boca será dulce como la miel.”

10 I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.

Tomé el librito de la mano del ángel y lo devoré, y en mi boca fue dulce como la miel; pero cuando lo comí, me amargó las entrañas.

11 A nd they said to me, “You must prophesy again concerning many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.”

Y me dijeron: “Debes profetizar otra vez acerca de muchos pueblos, naciones, lenguas y reyes.”
