1 T hen there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, “Get up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it.

Me fue dada una caña de medir (unos 3 m) semejante a una vara, y alguien dijo: “Levántate y mide el templo de Dios y el altar, y a los que en él adoran.

2 L eave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months.

Pero excluye el patio (el atrio) que está fuera del templo, no lo midas, porque ha sido entregado a las naciones, y éstas pisotearán la ciudad santa por cuarenta y dos meses.

3 A nd I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”

Otorgaré autoridad a mis dos testigos, y ellos profetizarán por 1, 260 días, vestidos de cilicio.”

4 T hese are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.

Estos son los dos olivos y los dos candelabros que están delante del Señor de la tierra.

5 A nd if anyone wants to harm them, fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way.

Si alguien quiere hacerles daño, de su boca sale fuego y devora a sus enemigos. Así debe morir cualquiera que quisiera hacerles daño.

6 T hese have the power to shut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.

Ellos tienen poder para cerrar el cielo a fin de que no llueva durante los días en que ellos profeticen; y tienen poder sobre las aguas para convertirlas en sangre, y para herir la tierra con toda suerte de plagas todas las veces que quieran.

7 W hen they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them.

Cuando hayan terminado de dar su testimonio, la bestia que sube del abismo hará guerra contra ellos, los vencerá y los matará.

8 A nd their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which mystically is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

Sus cadáveres estarán en la calle de la gran ciudad, que simbólicamente se llama Sodoma y Egipto, donde también su Señor fue crucificado.

9 T hose from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not permit their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.

Gente de todos los pueblos, tribus, lenguas, y naciones, contemplarán sus cadáveres por tres días y medio, y no permitirán que sus cadáveres sean sepultados.

10 A nd those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate; and they will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

Los que moran en la tierra se regocijarán por ellos y se alegrarán, y se enviarán regalos unos a otros, porque estos dos profetas habían atormentado a los que moran en la tierra.

11 B ut after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God came into them, and they stood on their feet; and great fear fell upon those who were watching them.

Pero después de los tres días y medio, el aliento de vida de parte de Dios vino a ellos y se pusieron en pie, y gran temor cayó sobre quienes los contemplaban.

12 A nd they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “ Come up here.” Then they went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them.

Entonces ellos oyeron una gran voz del cielo que les decía: “Suban acá.” Y subieron al cielo en la nube, y sus enemigos los vieron.

13 A nd in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

En aquella misma hora hubo un gran terremoto y la décima parte de la ciudad se derrumbó, y siete mil personas murieron en el terremoto, y los demás, aterrorizados, dieron gloria al Dios del cielo.

14 T he second woe is past; behold, the third woe is coming quickly. The Seventh Trumpet—Christ’s Reign Foreseen

El segundo ¡ay! ha pasado; pero el tercer ¡ay! viene pronto. La Séptima Trompeta

15 T hen the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “ The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.”

El séptimo ángel tocó la trompeta, y hubo (se oyeron) grandes voces en el cielo, que decían: “El reino del mundo ha venido a ser el reino de nuestro Señor y de Su Cristo (el Mesías). El reinará por los siglos de los siglos.”

16 A nd the twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God,

Y los veinticuatro ancianos que estaban sentados delante de Dios en sus tronos, se postraron sobre sus rostros y adoraron a Dios,

17 s aying, “We give You thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who are and who were, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign.

diciendo: “Te damos gracias, oh Señor Dios Todopoderoso, el que eres y el que eras, porque has tomado Tu gran poder y has comenzado a reinar.

18 A nd the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

Las naciones se enfurecieron, y vino Tu ira y llegó el tiempo de juzgar a los muertos y de dar la recompensa a Tus siervos los profetas, a los santos y a los que temen Tu nombre, a los pequeños y a los grandes, y de destruir a los que destruyen la tierra.”

19 A nd the temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm.

El templo de Dios que está en el cielo fue abierto; y el arca de Su pacto se veía en Su templo, y hubo relámpagos, voces (ruidos) y truenos, y un terremoto y una fuerte granizada.
