1 T hen I looked, and behold, in the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim something like a sapphire stone, in appearance resembling a throne, appeared above them.

Después miré, y en el firmamento que estaba sobre las cabezas de los querubines, vi que apareció sobre ellos como una piedra de zafiro de apariencia semejante a un trono.

2 A nd He spoke to the man clothed in linen and said, “Enter between the whirling wheels under the cherubim and fill your hands with coals of fire from between the cherubim and scatter them over the city.” And he entered in my sight.

Y el Señor le dijo al hombre vestido de lino: “Entra en medio de las ruedas debajo de los querubines, llena tus manos de carbones encendidos de entre los querubines y espárce los sobre la ciudad.” Y el hombre entró ante mis ojos.

3 N ow the cherubim were standing on the right side of the temple when the man entered, and the cloud filled the inner court.

Los querubines estaban de pie a la derecha del templo cuando el hombre entró, y la nube llenaba el atrio interior.

4 T hen the glory of the Lord went up from the cherub to the threshold of the temple, and the temple was filled with the cloud and the court was filled with the brightness of the glory of the Lord.

Entonces la gloria del Señor subió del querubín hacia el umbral del templo, y el templo se llenó de la nube, y el atrio se llenó del resplandor de la gloria del Señor.

5 M oreover, the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when He speaks.

El ruido de las alas de los querubines se oía hasta el atrio exterior, como la voz del Dios Todopoderoso (El Shaddai) cuando habla.

6 I t came about when He commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, “Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim,” he entered and stood beside a wheel.

Cuando El le ordenó al hombre vestido de lino: “Toma fuego de entre las ruedas, de entre los querubines,” él entró y se paró junto a una rueda.

7 T hen the cherub stretched out his hand from between the cherubim to the fire which was between the cherubim, took some and put it into the hands of the one clothed in linen, who took it and went out.

El querubín extendió su mano de entre los querubines hacia el fuego que estaba entre ellos, lo tomó y lo puso en las manos del que estaba vestido de lino, el cual lo tomó y salió.

8 T he cherubim appeared to have the form of a man’s hand under their wings.

Debajo de sus alas los querubines parecían tener la forma de la mano de un hombre.

9 T hen I looked, and behold, four wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside each cherub; and the appearance of the wheels was like the gleam of a Tarshish stone.

Entonces miré, y vi cuatro ruedas junto a los querubines, cada rueda junto a cada querubín; el aspecto de las ruedas era como el brillo de una piedra de Tarsis.

10 A s for their appearance, all four of them had the same likeness, as if one wheel were within another wheel.

En cuanto a su apariencia, las cuatro tenían la misma semejanza, como si una rueda estuviera dentro de la otra rueda.

11 W hen they moved, they went in any of their four directions without turning as they went; but they followed in the direction which they faced, without turning as they went.

Cuando andaban, se movían en las cuatro direcciones, sin volverse cuando andaban, sino que seguían la dirección en que ponían el rostro, sin volverse cuando andaban.

12 T heir whole body, their backs, their hands, their wings and the wheels were full of eyes all around, the wheels belonging to all four of them.

Y todo su cuerpo, sus espaldas, sus manos, sus alas y las ruedas estaban llenos de ojos alrededor, las ruedas de los cuatro.

13 T he wheels were called in my hearing, the whirling wheels.

A las ruedas se les llamó “torbellino,” y yo lo oí.

14 A nd each one had four faces. The first face was the face of a cherub, the second face was the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

Y cada uno de los querubines tenía cuatro caras. La primera cara era la cara de un querubín, la segunda, la cara de un hombre, la tercera, la cara de un león y la cuarta, la cara de un águila.

15 T hen the cherubim rose up. They are the living beings that I saw by the river Chebar.

Entonces los querubines se levantaron. Estos eran los seres vivientes que yo había visto en el río Quebar.

16 N ow when the cherubim moved, the wheels would go beside them; also when the cherubim lifted up their wings to rise from the ground, the wheels would not turn from beside them.

Cuando los querubines andaban, las ruedas andaban a su lado; y cuando los querubines alzaban sus alas para elevarse del suelo, las ruedas no se apartaban de su lado.

17 W hen the cherubim stood still, the wheels would stand still; and when they rose up, the wheels would rise with them, for the spirit of the living beings was in them.

Cuando los querubines se detenían, las ruedas se detenían, y cuando se levantaban, las ruedas se levantaban con ellos, porque el espíritu de los seres vivientes estaba en ellas.

18 T hen the glory of the Lord departed from the threshold of the temple and stood over the cherubim.

Entonces la gloria del Señor salió de sobre el umbral del templo y se puso sobre los querubines.

19 W hen the cherubim departed, they lifted their wings and rose up from the earth in my sight with the wheels beside them; and they stood still at the entrance of the east gate of the Lord’s house, and the glory of the God of Israel hovered over them.

Cuando los querubines alzaron sus alas y se elevaron del suelo ante mis ojos salieron con las ruedas a su lado, y se detuvieron a la entrada de la puerta oriental de la casa del Señor. Y la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba por encima, sobre ellos.

20 T hese are the living beings that I saw beneath the God of Israel by the river Chebar; so I knew that they were cherubim.

Estos eran los seres vivientes que yo había visto debajo del Dios de Israel junto al río Quebar; entonces supe que eran querubines.

21 E ach one had four faces and each one four wings, and beneath their wings was the form of human hands.

Cada uno tenía cuatro caras y cada uno cuatro alas, y había una semejanza de manos de hombre debajo de sus alas.

22 A s for the likeness of their faces, they were the same faces whose appearance I had seen by the river Chebar. Each one went straight ahead.

En cuanto a la forma de sus caras, eran las mismas caras cuya apariencia yo había visto junto al río Quebar. Cada uno caminaba derecho hacia adelante.
