1 O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!

3 L et the house of Aaron now say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

Нехай скаже дім Ааронів, бо навіки Його милосердя!

4 L et those now who reverently and worshipfully fear the Lord say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

Нехай скажуть ті, хто боїться Господа, бо навіки Його милосердя!

5 O ut of my distress I called upon the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free and in a large place.

У тісноті я кликав до Господа, і простором озвався до мене Господь!

6 T he Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

Зо мною Господь не боюся нікого, що зробить людина мені?

7 T he Lord is on my side and takes my part, He is among those who help me; therefore shall I see my desire established upon those who hate me.

Господь серед тих, що мені помагають, і побачу загибіль своїх ненависників.

8 I t is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

Краще вдаватись до Господа, ніж надіятися на людину,

9 I t is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

краще вдаватись до Господа, ніж надіятися на вельможних!

10 A ll nations (the surrounding tribes) compassed me about, but in the name of the Lord I will cut them off!

Всі народи мене оточили, я ж Господнім ім'ям їх понищив!

11 T hey compassed me about, yes, they surrounded me on every side; but in the name of the Lord I will cut them off!

Оточили мене й обступили мене, я ж Господнім ім'ям їх понищив!

12 T hey swarmed about me like bees, they blaze up and are extinguished like a fire of thorns; in the name of the Lord I will cut them off!

Оточили мене немов бджоли, та погасли вони, як терновий огонь, я бо Господнім ім'ям їх понищив!

13 Y ou thrust sorely at me that I might fall, but the Lord helped me.

Дошкульно попхнув ти мене на падіння, та Господь спас мене!

14 T he Lord is my Strength and Song; and He has become my Salvation.

Господь моя сила та пісня, і став Він спасінням мені!

15 T he voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents and private dwellings of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord does valiantly and achieves strength!

Голос співу й спасіння в наметах між праведників: Господня правиця виконує чуда!

16 T he right hand of the Lord is exalted; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly and achieves strength!

Правиця Господня підноситься, правиця Господня виконує чуда!

17 I shall not die but live, and shall declare the works and recount the illustrious acts of the Lord.

Не помру, але житиму, і буду звіщати про чини Господні!

18 T he Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over to death.

Покарати мене покарав був Господь, та смерти мені не завдав.

19 O pen to me the gates of righteousness; I will enter through them, and I will confess and praise the Lord.

Відчиніте мені брами правди, я ними ввійду, буду славити Господа!

20 T his is the gate of the Lord; the righteous shall enter through it.

Це брама Господня, праведники в неї входять.

21 I will confess, praise, and give thanks to You, for You have heard and answered me; and You have become my Salvation and Deliverer.

Я буду хвалити Тебе, бо озвався до мене, і став Ти спасінням мені!

22 T he stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.

Камінь, що його будівничі відкинули, той наріжним став каменем,

23 T his is from the Lord and is His doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.

від Господа сталося це, і дивне воно в очах наших!

24 T his is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Це день, що його створив Господь, радіймо та тішмося в нім!

25 S ave now, we beseech You, O Lord; send now prosperity, O Lord, we beseech You, and give to us success!

Просимо, Господи, спаси! Просимо, Господи, пощасти!

26 B lessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; we bless you from the house of the Lord.

Благословен, хто гряде у Господнє ім'я! Благословляємо вас із Господнього дому!

27 T he Lord is God, Who has shown and given us light. Decorate the festival with leafy boughs and bind the sacrifices to be offered with thick cords to the horns of the altar.

Господь Бог, і засяяв Він нам. Прив'яжіте святковую жертву шнурами аж до наріжників жертівника!

28 Y ou are my God, and I will confess, praise, and give thanks to You; You are my God, I will extol You.

Ти мій Бог, і я буду Тебе прославляти, мій Боже, я буду Тебе величати!

29 O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

Дякуйте Господу, добрий бо Він, бо навіки Його милосердя!
