1 O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!

(117-1) Славьте Господа, ибо Он благ, ибо вовек милость Его.

2 L et Israel now say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

(117-2) Да скажет ныне Израилев: ибо вовек милость Его.

3 L et the house of Aaron now say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

(117-3) Да скажет ныне дом Ааронов: ибо вовек милость Его.

4 L et those now who reverently and worshipfully fear the Lord say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

(117-4) Да скажут ныне боящиеся Господа: ибо вовек милость Его.

5 O ut of my distress I called upon the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free and in a large place.

(117-5) Из тесноты воззвал я к Господу, --и услышал меня, и на пространное место Господь.

6 T he Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

(117-6) Господь за меня--не устрашусь: что сделает мне человек?

7 T he Lord is on my side and takes my part, He is among those who help me; therefore shall I see my desire established upon those who hate me.

(117-7) Господь мне помощник: буду смотреть на врагов моих.

8 I t is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

(117-8) Лучше уповать на Господа, нежели надеяться на человека.

9 I t is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

(117-9) Лучше уповать на Господа, нежели надеяться на князей.

10 A ll nations (the surrounding tribes) compassed me about, but in the name of the Lord I will cut them off!

(117-10) Все народы окружили меня, но именем Господним я низложил их;

11 T hey compassed me about, yes, they surrounded me on every side; but in the name of the Lord I will cut them off!

(117-11) обступили меня, окружили меня, но именем Господним я низложил их;

12 T hey swarmed about me like bees, they blaze up and are extinguished like a fire of thorns; in the name of the Lord I will cut them off!

(117-12) окружили меня, как пчелы, и угасли, как огонь в терне: именем Господним я низложил их.

13 Y ou thrust sorely at me that I might fall, but the Lord helped me.

(117-13) Сильно толкнули меня, чтобы я упал, но Господь поддержал меня.

14 T he Lord is my Strength and Song; and He has become my Salvation.

(117-14) Господь--сила моя и песнь; Он соделался моим спасением.

15 T he voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents and private dwellings of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord does valiantly and achieves strength!

(117-15) Глас радости и спасения в жилищах праведников: десница Господня творит силу!

16 T he right hand of the Lord is exalted; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly and achieves strength!

(117-16) Десница Господня высока, десница Господня творит силу!

17 I shall not die but live, and shall declare the works and recount the illustrious acts of the Lord.

(117-17) Не умру, но буду жить и возвещать дела Господни.

18 T he Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over to death.

(117-18) Строго наказал меня Господь, но смерти не предал меня.

19 O pen to me the gates of righteousness; I will enter through them, and I will confess and praise the Lord.

(117-19) Отворите мне врата правды; войду в них, прославлю Господа.

20 T his is the gate of the Lord; the righteous shall enter through it.

(117-20) Вот врата Господа; праведные войдут в них.

21 I will confess, praise, and give thanks to You, for You have heard and answered me; and You have become my Salvation and Deliverer.

(117-21) Славлю Тебя, что Ты услышал меня и соделался моим спасением.

22 T he stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.

(117-22) Камень, который отвергли строители, соделался главою угла:

23 T his is from the Lord and is His doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.

(117-23) это--от Господа, и есть дивно в очах наших.

24 T his is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

(117-24) Сей день сотворил Господь: возрадуемся и возвеселимся в оный!

25 S ave now, we beseech You, O Lord; send now prosperity, O Lord, we beseech You, and give to us success!

(117-25) О, Господи, спаси же! О, Господи, споспешествуй же!

26 B lessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; we bless you from the house of the Lord.

(117-26) Благословен грядущий во имя Господне! Благословляем вас из дома Господня.

27 T he Lord is God, Who has shown and given us light. Decorate the festival with leafy boughs and bind the sacrifices to be offered with thick cords to the horns of the altar.

(117-27) Бог--Господь, и осиял нас; вяжите вервями жертву, к рогам жертвенника.

28 Y ou are my God, and I will confess, praise, and give thanks to You; You are my God, I will extol You.

(117-28) Ты Бог мой: буду славить Тебя; Ты Бог мой: буду превозносить Тебя.

29 O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

(117-29) Славьте Господа, ибо Он благ, ибо вовек милость Его.
