1 I n the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

В двенадцатом году, в двенадцатом месяце, в первый месяца, было ко мне слово Господне:

2 S on of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him, You have likened to a young lion, leader of the nations, but you are like a dragon in the seas; you break forth in your rivers and trouble the waters with your feet, and you make foul their rivers.

сын человеческий! подними плач о фараоне, царе Египетском, и скажи ему: ты как молодой лев между народами и как чудовище в морях, кидаешься в реках твоих, и мутишь ногами твоими воды, и попираешь потоки их.

3 T hus says the Lord God: I will therefore throw out My net over you with a host of many peoples, and they shall bring you up in My dragnet.

Так говорит Господь Бог: Я закину на тебя сеть Мою в собрании многих народов, и они вытащат тебя Моею мрежею.

4 T hen I will leave you upon the shore; I will cast you on the open field and will cause all the birds of the heavens to settle upon you, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with you.

И выкину тебя на землю, на открытом поле брошу тебя, и будут садиться на тебя всякие небесные птицы, и насыщаться тобою звери всей земли.

5 A nd I will scatter your flesh upon the mountains and fill the valleys with your high heap of corpses and their worms.

И раскидаю мясо твое по горам, и долины наполню твоими трупами.

6 I will also water with your flowing blood the land, even to the mountains, and the hollows and water channels shall be full of you.

И землю плавания твоего напою кровью твоею до самых гор; и рытвины будут наполнены тобою.

7 A nd when I have extinguished you, I will cover the heavens and make their stars dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud and the moon shall not give her light.

И когда ты угаснешь, закрою небеса и звезды их помрачу, солнце закрою облаком, и луна не будет светить светом своим.

8 A ll the bright lights of the heavens I will make dark over you and set darkness upon your land, says the Lord God.

Все светила, светящиеся на небе, помрачу над тобою и на землю твою наведу тьму, говорит Господь Бог.

9 I will also trouble and vex the hearts of many peoples when I bring your breaking and trembling and destruction and carry you captive among the nations, into the countries which you have not known.

Приведу в смущение сердце многих народов, когда разглашу о падении твоем между народами, по землям, которых ты не знал.

10 I will make many peoples amazed and appalled at you, and their kings shall shudder and be horribly afraid because of you when I brandish My sword before them; they shall tremble every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of your downfall.

И приведу тобою в ужас многие народы, и цари их содрогнутся о тебе в страхе, когда мечом Моим потрясу перед лицем их, и поминутно будут трепетать каждый за душу свою в день падения твоего.

11 F or thus says the Lord God: The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon you.

Ибо так говорит Господь Бог: меч царя Вавилонского придет на тебя.

12 I will cause your multitude, your tumult, and your store to fall by the swords of the mighty—the most terrible among the nations are they all. And they shall bring to nothing the pomp and pride of Egypt, and all its multitude shall be destroyed.

От мечей сильных падет народ твой; все они--лютейшие из народов, и уничтожат гордость Египта, и погибнет все множество его.

13 I will destroy also all its beasts from beside many and great waters, and no foot of man shall trouble them any more, nor shall the hoofs of beasts trouble them.

И истреблю весь скот его при великих водах, и вперед не будет мутить их нога человеческая, и копыта скота не будут мутить их.

14 T hen will I make their waters sink down (subside, be quiet, and become clear); their rivers I will cause to run like oil, says the Lord God.

Тогда дам покой водам их, и сделаю, что реки их потекут, как масло, говорит Господь Бог.

15 W hen I make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country is stripped and destitute of all that of which it was full when I smite all those who dwell in it, then will they know, understand, and realize that I am the Lord.

Когда сделаю землю Египетскую пустынею, и когда лишится земля всего, наполняющего ее; когда поражу всех живущих на ней, тогда узнают, что Я Господь.

16 T his is the lamentation with which they shall intone or chant the lament for her; the daughters of the nations shall chant their lament with it; over Egypt and over all her multitude, her tumult, and her wealth in every sphere shall they chant it, says the Lord God.

Вот плачевная песнь, которую будут петь; дочери народов будут петь ее; о Египте и обо всем множестве его будут петь ее, говорит Господь Бог.

17 I n the twelfth year, on the fifteenth day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

В двенадцатом году, в пятнадцатый месяца, было ко мне слово Господне:

18 S on of man, wail over the multitude of Egypt and cast them down, even her and the daughters of the famous and majestic nations, to the netherworld, with those who go down to the pit;

сын человеческий! оплачь народ Египетский, и низринь его, его и дочерей знаменитых народов в преисподнюю, с отходящими в могилу.

19 W hom do you surpass in beauty? Go down and be laid with the uncircumcised (the heathen).

Кого ты превосходишь? сойди, и лежи с необрезанными.

20 T hey shall fall in the midst of those who are slain by the sword; she is delivered to the sword; they draw her down, and all her multitudes.

Те падут среди убитых мечом, и он отдан мечу; влеките его и все множество его.

21 T he strong among the mighty shall speak of out of the midst of Sheol (the place of the dead, the netherworld) with those who helped him; they are gone down; they lie still, even the uncircumcised (the heathen) slain by the sword.

Среди преисподней будут говорить о нем и о союзниках его первые из героев; они пали и лежат там между необрезанными, сраженные мечом.

22 A ssyria is there and all her company; their graves are round about her, all of them slain, fallen by the sword,

Там Ассур и все полчище его, вокруг него гробы их, все пораженные, павшие от меча.

23 W hose graves are set in the uttermost parts of the pit and whose company is round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who caused terror to spread in the land of the living.

Гробы его поставлены в самой глубине преисподней, и полчище его вокруг гробницы его, все пораженные, павшие от меча, те, которые распространяли ужас на земле живых.

24 E lam is there and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who have gone down uncircumcised into the netherworld, who caused their terror to spread in the land of the living and have borne their shame with those who go down to the pit.

Так Елам со всем множеством своим вокруг гробницы его, все они пораженные, павшие от меча, которые необрезанными сошли в преисподнюю, которые распространили собою ужас на земле живых и несут позор свой с отшедшими в могилу.

25 T hey have set her a bed (a sepulcher) among the slain with all her multitude—their graves round about her, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, for their terror had spread in the land of the living, and they henceforth bear their shame with those who go down to the pit; they are laid in the midst of the slain.

Среди пораженных дали ложе ему со всем множеством его; вокруг него гробы их, все необрезанные, пораженные мечом; и как они распространяли ужас на земле живых, то и несут на себе позор наравне с отшедшими в могилу и положены среди пораженных.

26 M eshech, Tubal, and all their multitude are there; their graves are round about, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, for they caused their terror to be spread in the land of the living.

Там Мешех и Фувал со всем множеством своим; вокруг него гробы их, все необрезанные, пораженные мечом, потому что они распространяли ужас на земле живых.

27 A nd they shall not lie with the mighty who have fallen of the uncircumcised who have gone down to Sheol (the place of the dead, the netherworld) with their weapons of war, whose swords were laid under their heads and whose iniquities are upon their bones, for they caused their terror to spread in the land of the living.

Не должны ли они лежать с павшими героями необрезанными, которые с воинским оружием своим сошли в преисподнюю и мечи свои положили себе под головы, и осталось беззаконие их на костях их, потому что они, как сильные, были ужасом на земле живых.

28 B ut you shall be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised and shall lie with those who are slain with the sword.

И ты будешь сокрушен среди необрезанных и лежать с пораженными мечом.

29 E dom is there, her kings and all her princes, who for all their might are laid with those who were slain by the sword; they shall lie with the uncircumcised (the heathen) and with those who go down to the pit.

Там Едом и цари его и все князья его, которые при всей своей храбрости положены среди пораженных мечом; они лежат с необрезанными и сошедшими в могилу.

30 T he princes of the north are there, all of them, and all the Sidonians, who have gone down with the slain; for all the terror which they caused by their might they are put to shame, and they lie uncircumcised with those who are slain by the sword and henceforth bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.

Там властелины севера, все они и все Сидоняне, которые сошли туда с пораженными, быв посрамлены в могуществе своем, наводившем ужас, и лежат они с необрезанными, пораженными мечом, и несут позор свой с отшедшими в могилу.

31 W hen Pharaoh sees them, he will comfort himself for all his multitude—even Pharaoh and all his army, slain by the sword, says the Lord God.

Увидит их фараон и утешится о всем множестве своем, пораженном мечом, фараон и все войско его, говорит Господь Бог.

32 F or I have put his and My terror in the land of the living, and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised (the heathen) with those slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord God.

Ибо Я распространю страх Мой на земле живых, и положен будет фараон и все множество его среди необрезанных с пораженными мечом, говорит Господь Бог.
