1 A fter this I saw four angels stationed at the four corners of the earth, firmly holding back the four winds of the earth so that no wind should blow on the earth or sea or upon any tree.

И после сего видел я четырех Ангелов, стоящих на четырех углах земли, держащих четыре ветра земли, чтобы не дул ветер ни на землю, ни на море, ни на какое дерево.

2 T hen I saw a second angel coming up from the east (the rising of the sun) and carrying the seal of the living God. And with a loud voice he called out to the four angels who had been given authority and power to injure earth and sea,

И видел я иного Ангела, восходящего от востока солнца и имеющего печать Бога живаго. И воскликнул он громким голосом к четырем Ангелам, которым дано вредить земле и морю, говоря:

3 S aying, Harm neither the earth nor the sea nor the trees, until we have sealed the bond servants of our God upon their foreheads.

не делайте вреда ни земле, ни морю, ни деревам, доколе не положим печати на челах рабов Бога нашего.

4 A nd I heard how many were sealed (marked) out of every tribe of the sons of Israel: there were 144, 000.

И я слышал число запечатленных: запечатленных было сто сорок четыре тысячи из всех колен сынов Израилевых.

5 T welve thousand were sealed (marked) out of the tribe of Judah, 12, 000 of the tribe of Reuben, 12, 000 of the tribe of Gad,

Из колена Иудина запечатлено двенадцать тысяч; из колена Рувимова запечатлено двенадцать тысяч; из колена Гадова запечатлено двенадцать тысяч;

6 T welve thousand of the tribe of Asher, 12, 000 of the tribe of Naphtali, 12, 000 of the tribe of Manasseh,

из колена Асирова запечатлено двенадцать тысяч; из колена Неффалимова запечатлено двенадцать тысяч; из колена Манассиина запечатлено двенадцать тысяч;

7 T welve thousand of the tribe of Simeon, 12, 000 of the tribe of Levi, 12, 000 of the tribe of Issachar,

из колена Симеонова запечатлено двенадцать тысяч; из колена Левиина запечатлено двенадцать тысяч; из колена Иссахарова запечатлено двенадцать тысяч;

8 T welve thousand of the tribe of Zebulun, 12, 000 of the tribe of Joseph, 12, 000 of the tribe of Benjamin.

из колена Завулонова запечатлено двенадцать тысяч; из колена Иосифова запечатлено двенадцать тысяч; из колена Вениаминова запечатлено двенадцать тысяч.

9 A fter this I looked and a vast host appeared which no one could count, of every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages. These stood before the throne and before the Lamb; they were attired in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.

После сего взглянул я, и вот, великое множество людей, которого никто не мог перечесть, из всех племен и колен, и народов и языков, стояло пред престолом и пред Агнцем в белых одеждах и с пальмовыми ветвями в руках своих.

10 I n loud voice they cried, saying, salvation is due to our God, Who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!

И восклицали громким голосом, говоря: спасение Богу нашему, сидящему на престоле, и Агнцу!

11 A nd all the angels were standing round the throne and round the elders '> of the heavenly Sanhedrin] and the four living creatures, and they fell prostrate before the throne and worshiped God.

И все Ангелы стояли вокруг престола и старцев и четырех животных, и пали перед престолом на лица свои, и поклонились Богу,

12 A men! (So be it!) they cried. Blessing and glory and majesty and splendor and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and might to our God to the ages and ages (forever and ever, throughout the eternities of the eternities)! Amen! (So be it!)

говоря: аминь! благословение и слава, и премудрость и благодарение, и честь и сила и крепость Богу нашему во веки веков! Аминь.

13 T hen, addressing me, one of the elders '> of the heavenly Sanhedrin] said, Who are these clothed in the long white robes? And from where have they come?

И, начав речь, один из старцев спросил меня: сии облеченные в белые одежды кто, и откуда пришли?

14 I replied, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who have come out of the great tribulation (persecution), and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Я сказал ему: ты знаешь, господин. И он сказал мне: это те, которые пришли от великой скорби; они омыли одежды свои и убелили одежды свои Кровию Агнца.

15 F or this reason they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His sanctuary (temple); and He Who is sitting upon the throne will protect and spread His tabernacle over and shelter them with His presence.

За это они пребывают перед престолом Бога и служат Ему день и ночь в храме Его, и Сидящий на престоле будет обитать в них.

16 T hey shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun smite them, nor any scorching heat.

Они не будут уже ни алкать, ни жаждать, и не будет палить их солнце и никакой зной:

17 F or the Lamb Who is in the midst of the throne will be their Shepherd, and He will guide them to the springs of the waters of life; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

ибо Агнец, Который среди престола, будет пасти их и водить их на живые источники вод; и отрет Бог всякую слезу с очей их.
