1 T hus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Moab and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime.

Так говорит Господь: за три преступления Моава и за четыре не пощажу его, потому что он пережег кости царя Едомского в известь.

2 S o I will send a fire upon Moab and it shall devour the strongholds of Kerioth, and Moab shall die amid uproar, shouting, and the sound of the trumpet.

И пошлю огонь на Моава, и пожрет чертоги Кериофа, и погибнет Моав среди разгрома с шумом, при звуке трубы.

3 A nd I will cut off the ruler from its midst and will slay all its princes with him, says the Lord.

Истреблю судью из среды его и умерщвлю всех князей его вместе с ним, говорит Господь.

4 T hus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Judah and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they have despised and rejected the law of the Lord and have not kept His commandments, but their lies, after which their fathers have walked, caused them to err and go astray.

Так говорит Господь: за три преступления Иуды и за четыре не пощажу его, потому что отвергли закон Господень и постановлений Его не сохранили, и идолы их, вслед которых ходили отцы их, совратили их с пути.

5 S o I will send a fire upon Judah and it shall devour the strongholds of Jerusalem.

И пошлю огонь на Иуду, и пожрет чертоги Иерусалима.

6 T hus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Israel and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they have sold the just and uncompromisingly righteous for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals;

Так говорит Господь: за три преступления Израиля и за четыре не пощажу его, потому что продают правого за серебро и бедного--за пару сандалий.

7 T hey pant after the poor dust of the earth on their heads; they defraud and turn aside the humble; and a man and his father will have sexual relations with the same maiden, so that My holy name is profaned.

Жаждут, чтобы прах земной был на голове бедных, и путь кротких извращают; даже отец и сын ходят к одной женщине, чтобы бесславить святое имя Мое.

8 A nd they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes they have taken in pledge, and in the house of their God they frivolously drink the wine which has been exacted from those fined.

На одеждах, взятых в залог, возлежат при всяком жертвеннике, и вино, с обвиненных, пьют в доме богов своих.

9 Y et I destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above and his roots from beneath.

А Я истребил перед лицем их Аморрея, которого высота была как высота кедра и который был крепок как дуб; Я истребил плод его вверху и корни его внизу.

10 A lso I brought you up out of the land of Egypt and led you forty years through the wilderness to possess the land of the Amorite.

Вас же Я вывел из земли Египетской и водил вас в пустыне сорок лет, чтобы вам наследовать землю Аморрейскую.

11 A nd I raised up some of your sons for prophets and some of your young men for dedicated ones. Is this not true, O you children of Israel? says the Lord.

Из сыновей ваших Я избирал в пророки и из юношей ваших--в назореи; не так ли это, сыны Израиля? говорит Господь.

12 B ut you gave the dedicated ones wine to drink and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

А вы назореев поили вином и пророкам приказывали, говоря: 'не пророчествуйте'.

13 B ehold, I am pressed under you and I will press you down in your place as a cart presses that is full of sheaves.

Вот, Я придавлю вас, как давит колесница, нагруженная снопами, --

14 A nd flight shall be lost to the swift and refuge shall fail him; the strong shall not retain and confirm his strength, neither shall the mighty deliver himself.

и у проворного не станет силы бежать, и крепкий не удержит крепости своей, и храбрый не спасет своей жизни,

15 N either shall he stand who handles the bow, and he who is swift of foot shall not deliver himself; neither shall he who rides the horse deliver his life.

ни стреляющий из лука не устоит, ни скороход не убежит, ни сидящий на коне не спасет своей жизни.

16 A nd he who is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked on that day, says the Lord.

И самый отважный из храбрых убежит нагой в тот день, говорит Господь.
