1 T hus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Moab and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime.

Така казва Господ: Поради три престъления на Моав, Да! поради четири, няма да отменя наказанието му, Защото изгори костите на Едомския цар, та станаха вар;

2 S o I will send a fire upon Moab and it shall devour the strongholds of Kerioth, and Moab shall die amid uproar, shouting, and the sound of the trumpet.

Но аз ще изпратя огън върху Моава, Та ще изпояде палатите на Кариот; И Моав ще умре всред метеж, Всред силни викания, и всред тръбен звук;

3 A nd I will cut off the ruler from its midst and will slay all its princes with him, says the Lord.

И ще изтребя съдията отсред него, И заедно с него ще убия всичките му първенци, казва Господ.

4 T hus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Judah and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they have despised and rejected the law of the Lord and have not kept His commandments, but their lies, after which their fathers have walked, caused them to err and go astray.

Така казва Господ: Поради три престъпления на Юда, Да! поради четири, няма да отменя наказанието му, Защото отхвърлиха закона на Господа, И не опазиха повеленията му, И суетните им идоли, след които ходиха бащите им, ги заблудиха;

5 S o I will send a fire upon Judah and it shall devour the strongholds of Jerusalem.

Но аз ще изпратя огън върху Юда, Та ще изпояде палатите на Ерусалим.

6 T hus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Israel and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they have sold the just and uncompromisingly righteous for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals;

Така казва Господ: Поради три престъпления на Израиля, Да! поради четири, няма да отменя наказанието му, Защото продадоха праведния за пари, И немощния за един чифт обуща;

7 T hey pant after the poor dust of the earth on their heads; they defraud and turn aside the humble; and a man and his father will have sexual relations with the same maiden, so that My holy name is profaned.

Те ожидат да видят земен прах на главата (Знак на жалеене, поради угнетение) на сиромасите, И извръщат пътя на кротките; И син и баща му ходят при същата девица, Та омърсват светото Ми име;

8 A nd they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes they have taken in pledge, and in the house of their God they frivolously drink the wine which has been exacted from those fined.

Още при всеки жертвеник си лягат на заложени дрехи, И в капищата на боговете си пият вино, купено с парите на несправедливо глобяваните.

9 Y et I destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above and his roots from beneath.

Но аз изтребих пред тях Аморееца, Чиято височина бе като височината на кедрите, И който бе як като дъбовете; При все това, съсипах плода му изотгоре И корените му изотдолу.

10 A lso I brought you up out of the land of Egypt and led you forty years through the wilderness to possess the land of the Amorite.

Още Аз ви възведох из Египетската земя, И ви развеждах четиридесет години през пустинята, За да наследите земята на Аморейците.

11 A nd I raised up some of your sons for prophets and some of your young men for dedicated ones. Is this not true, O you children of Israel? says the Lord.

И въздигнах от синовете ви пророци, И от юношите ви Назиреи. Не е ли така, Израиляни? казва Господ.

12 B ut you gave the dedicated ones wine to drink and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

А вие напоявахте Назиреите с вино, И заповядвахте на пророците Като им казвахте - Да не пророкувате.

13 B ehold, I am pressed under you and I will press you down in your place as a cart presses that is full of sheaves.

Ето, аз ще ви притисна на мястото ви Както притиска кола пълна със снопи.

14 A nd flight shall be lost to the swift and refuge shall fail him; the strong shall not retain and confirm his strength, neither shall the mighty deliver himself.

Бързота за бягането ще се изгуби от скороходеца, И якият не ще уякчи силата си, И юначният няма да избави живота си;

15 N either shall he stand who handles the bow, and he who is swift of foot shall not deliver himself; neither shall he who rides the horse deliver his life.

Стрелецът не ще може да устои, Нито бързоногият да избегне, Нито конникът да избави живота си;

16 A nd he who is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked on that day, says the Lord.

И доблестният между юнаците Гол ще побегне в оня ден, казва Господ.
