1 F irst of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men,

2 F or kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way.

3 F or such is good and right, and pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior,

4 W ho wishes all men to be saved and to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the Truth.

Който иска да се спасят всички човеци и да достигнат до познание на истината.

5 F or there one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

Защото има само един Бог и един ходатай между Бога и човеците, човекът Христос Исус,

6 W ho gave Himself as a ransom for all attested to at the right and proper time.

Който, като своевременно свидетелство за това, даде Себе Си откуп за всички;

7 A nd of this matter I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (special messenger)—I am speaking the truth in Christ, I do not falsify —a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

за което аз бях поставен проповедник и апостол, (истина казвам не лъжа), учител на езичници във вярата и истината.

8 I desire therefore that in every place men should pray, without anger or quarreling or resentment or doubt, lifting up holy hands.

И тъй, искам мъжете да се молят на всяко място, като издигат ръце свети, а не гневни и препирливи,

9 A lso that women should adorn themselves modestly and appropriately and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with hair arrangement or gold or pearls or expensive clothing,

Така и жените да украсят със скромна премяна, с срамежливост и целомъдрие, не с плетена коса и злато или бисери или скъпи дрехи,

10 B ut by doing good deeds (deeds in themselves good and for the good and advantage of those contacted by them), as befits women who profess reverential fear for and devotion to God.

а с добри дела, както прилича на жени, които са се посветили на благочестието.

11 L et a woman learn in quietness, in entire submissiveness.

Жената да се учи мълчаливо с пълно подчинение.

12 I allow no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to remain in quietness and keep silence.

А на жената не позволявам да поучава, нито да владее над мъжа, но нека бъде мълчалива.

13 F or Adam was first formed, then Eve;

Защото първо Адам бе създаден, а после Ева.

14 A nd it was not Adam who was deceived, but woman who was deceived and deluded and fell into transgression.

И Адам не се излъга; но жената се излъга, та падна в престъпление.

15 N evertheless they will be saved if they continue in faith and love and holiness with self-control, through the Childbearing or by the birth of the divine Child.

Но пак тя ще се спаси чрез чадородието, ако пребъдат във вяра, в любов и в святост с целомъдрие.
