1 H ow the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with a cloud in His anger! He has cast down from heaven to the earth the beauty and splendor of Israel and has not remembered His footstool in the day of His anger!

Как покри Господ с облак Сионовата дъщеря в гнева Си, Хвърли от небето долу на земята великолепието на Израиля, И в деня на гнева Си не си спомни за подножието Си!

2 T he Lord has swallowed up all the country places and habitations of Jacob and has spared not nor pitied; He has demolished in His wrath the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has cast down to the ground the kingdom and its rulers, polluting them and depriving them of their sanctity.

Господ изтреби всичките Яковови жилища, и не пожали; Събори в гнева Си укрепленията на Юдовата дъщеря; събори ги до земята; Оскверни царството и първенците му.

3 H e has broken off in His fierce anger every horn (means of defense) of Israel. He has drawn back His right hand from before the enemy. And He has burned amidst Jacob like a flaming fire consuming all around.

В разпаления Си гняв строши всеки Израилев рог; Оттегли десницата Си от да е срещу неприятеля; И като пламенен огън, който пояжда всичко наоколо, изгори Якова.

4 H e has bent His bow like an enemy; He has stood with His right hand set like a foe and has slain all the delights and pride of the eye; on and in the tent of the Daughter of Zion He has poured out His wrath like fire.

Запъна лъка Си като враг; усили десницата Си като противник; И изби всичко приятно на окото; Върху шатъра на Сионовата дъщеря изля яростта Си като огън.

5 T he Lord has become like an enemy; He has destroyed Israel. He has destroyed all its palaces, has laid in ruins its strongholds, and has multiplied in the Daughter of Judah groaning and moaning and lamentation.

Господ стана като неприятел; изтреби Израиля; Изтреби всичките му палати; съсипа крепостите му; И увеличи на Юдовата дъщеря плача и риданието.

6 A nd He has violently broken down His temple like a booth or hedge of a garden; He has destroyed the place of His appointed assembly. The Lord has caused the solemn appointed feasts and Sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion and has spurned and rejected in the indignation of His anger the king and the priest.

Той усилено събори шатъра му като колиба в градина; съсипа мястото на събранието му; Господ направи да се забрави в Сион определен празник и събота, И в пламенния Си гняв отхвърли цар и свещеник.

7 T he Lord has scorned, rejected, and cast off His altar; He has abhorred and disowned His sanctuary. He has given into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a clamor in the house of the Lord as on a day of a solemn appointed feast.

Господ отхвърли олтара Си, погнуси се от светилището Си; Предаде стените на сионските палати в ръката на неприятелите, Които подигнаха шум в дома Господен като в празничен ден.

8 T he Lord purposed to lay in ruins the wall of the Daughter of Zion. He marked it off by measuring line; He restrained not His hand from destroying. He made rampart and wall lament; they languished together.

Господ намисли да съсипе стената на сионовата дъщеря; Опна връвта; не оттегли ръката Си от да изтреби; И направи да жалее предстението и стената; те изнемогнаха заедно.

9 H er gates have sunk into the ground; He has destroyed and broken her bars. Her king and her princes are among the nations; the law is no more; her prophets also obtain no vision from the Lord.

Портите й затънаха в земята; Той сломи и строши лостовете й; Царят й и първенците й са между езичниците, дето законът го няма; И пророците й не получават видение от Господа.

10 T he elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground keeping silent; they have cast dust on their heads, they have girded themselves with sackcloth. The maidens of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

Старейшините на сионовата дъщеря седят наземи и мълчат; Хвърлиха пръст на главите си; препасаха се във вретища; Ерусалимските девици навеждат главите си до земята.

11 M y eyes fail from weeping, my emotions are deeply disturbed, my heart is poured out upon the ground because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, because infants and nurslings faint in the streets of the city.

Очите ми изнемощяха от сълзи; червата ми се смущават; Дробът ми се изсипа на земята поради разрушението на дъщерята на людете ми, Понеже младенците и бозайничетата примират по улиците на града.

12 T hey keep crying to their mothers, Where is corn and wine ? as they faint like wounded men in the streets of the city, as their lives ebb away on their mothers’ bosom.

Думат на майките си: Где има жито и вино? Когато примират като смъртно ранени по градските улици, Когато предават дух в пазухата на майките си.

13 W hat is sufficient for me to remind you for your ? To what shall I liken you, O Daughter of Jerusalem? With what shall I compare you, that I may comfort you, O Virgin Daughter of Zion? For your ruin is as measureless as the sea! Who can heal you?

Какво да ти заявя? Какво сравнение да ти представя, ерусалимска дъщерьо? Кому да те оприлича, за да те утеша, девице сионова дъщерьо! Защото разорението ти е голямо като морето; кой може да те изцели?

14 Y our prophets have predicted for you falsehood and delusion and foolish things; and they have not exposed your iniquity and guilt to avert your captivity. But they have divined and declared to you false and deceptive prophecies, worthless and misleading.

Пророците ти видяха за тебе суетни и глупави видения, И не откриха беззаконието ти, за да те върнат от плен, Но видяха за тебе лъжливо наложени и прелъстителни пророчества.

15 A ll who pass by clap their hands at you; they hiss and wag their heads at the Daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city which was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of all the earth?

Всички, които заминават в пътя, изпляскват с ръце против тебе, Подсвиркват, и кимват с главите си поради ерусалимската дъщеря, и казват: Това ли е градът, който наричаха Съвършенство на Красотата, и, Града, за който цял свят се радва?

16 A ll your enemies have opened wide their mouths against you; they scornfully hiss and gnash their teeth. They cry, We have swallowed her up! Certainly this is the day we have looked for; we have it, we see it!

Всичките ти неприятели широко отвориха против тебе устата си; Подсвиркват, скърцат със зъбите си, и казват: Погълнахме я; Наистина това е денят, който очаквахме; намерихме го, видяхме го.

17 T he Lord has done what He planned; He has carried out and finished His word which He threatened and decreed in the days of old. He has demolished without pity; He has made the enemy rejoice over you and has exalted the might of your foes.

Господ извърши онова, което беше намислил; изпълни словото, което беше изрекъл от древни дни; Разори без да пожали, развесели над тебе неприятеля, Възвиси рога на противниците ти.

18 T he hearts cried to the Lord. O wall of the Daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night; give yourself no rest, let not your eyes stop.

Сърцето им извика към Господа, като казва: Стено на сионовата дъщеря, проливай, като поток, сълзи денем и нощем; Не си давай почивка; за да не изсъхва зеницата на окото ти.

19 A rise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift up your hands toward Him for the lives of your young children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street.

Стани, извикай нощем при първото поставяне на стражите; Излей сърцето си като вода пред лицето на Господа; Издигни към Него ръцете си за живота на младенците си, Които примират от глад край всичките улици.

20 B ehold, O Lord, and consider to whom You have done this. Should and shall women eat the fruit of their own bodies, the children whom they have tended and swaddled with their hands? Should and shall priest and prophet be slain in the place set apart of the Lord?

Виж, Господи, гледай на кого си направил това! Да ядат ли жените рожбата си, младенците на обятията си? Да бъдат ли убити в светилището Господно свещеник и пророк?

21 T he young and the old lie on the ground in the streets; my maidens and my young men have fallen by the sword. You have slain them in the day of Your anger, slaughtering them without pity.

Дете и старец лежат на земята по пътищата; Девиците ми и младежите ми паднаха от нож; Избил си ги в деня на гнева Си; изклал си без да пожалиш.

22 Y ou called together, as on an appointed feast day of solemn assembly, my terrors (dangers) from every side. And there was not one in the day of God’s wrath who escaped or survived; those I have nursed and brought up, my enemy has destroyed.

Призвал си отвред ужасителите ми като в ден на определен празник; И никой не се отърва нито остана в деня на гнева Господен; Ония, които съм носила в обятия и отхранила, неприятелят ми ги довърши.
